They don't want to leave too many overs for Pakistan to chase the target, also being defensive .

 

They are 260+ ahead, 9 wickets in hand but still doing tuk tuk .. Head and Carey should be promoted up the order now to get some quick runs and save time.

 

Why wouldn't they throw their bat around now if they have no fear of losing ? Even if they collapse trying to get quick runs the target would still be in excess of 320+, but they also want to kill time and don't want to leave too many overs for Pakistan to chase the target.

 

Boring defensive Cricket all round, Pakistan might just get away with another draw here.

They are showing intent now. It's not an easy place to score quickly, plus the outfield is not providing any value for runs either.
