Let me put bowlers acc to the phases and roles first

  • All phase bowler - i wont add them in any list below
    Bumrah
Siraj- about his IPL, always beilived their needs to a point where numbers shud be ignored and that point is called -skills, he has it all  so dnt give a F*ck about his numbers

  • New ball wkt takers
Umesh- post 2018 his number in PP of IPL has been as good as chahar, which this yr wud have gotten better. I have been his biggest critic but he seems to be making a strong case in area which hasnt been strong in white ball cricket. He has done well in Aus in white ball
Deepak chahar- Over the yrs have shown his skills in PP and doesnt leak much even in other phases + batting
Bhuvi - as of now everything seems down for him
Prasidh - still wanna see more of his skills as pitches get flat, noway in australia ull get that movement which has been on display in early games

  • Middle phase enforcer
Umran- clearly he seems more in control after few overs of new ball which wasim akram has spoken about a lot how its tough to control new white ball . Umean brings in pace as X factor in squad which is always a bonus specially in Aus conditions
Avesh khan - someone who will enjoy aussie conditions and bowls a very heavy ball
Thakur- he wud do well in Aussie conditions apart from canberra or hobart + batting

  • Death over
Harshal- game after game he is among wkts + batting
Nattu- getting better game after game + left arm variety

Right arm Leg spinners

  • yuzi- has been excellent this time
  • Rahul chahar- again doing well and shud enjoy aussie condition
  • Bishnoi- he does give an option of not taking a offie for leftie

Other spinner

  • Kuldeep- pace n confidence both seems up , Rohit likes him a lot too
  • Ashwin - again with good teams having a mix lefty and righty , top option

Again their is a lot of good options this time as well , This shud be the pool we shud look at

No Bhuvi. Also no Siraj. In English conditons and ODIs maybe. T20, No!

Time to try newer fast bowlers. Kuldeep Sen is impressive but still only 1 game old. Khaleel seems to be in fantastic rhythm, if he sustains, why not? He will get bounce in Australia too.

Varun C is he finished?

Also Sundar is very underrated as a T20 bowler. He is a bowling allrounder in T20s and batting allrounder in tests. Don’t have place for him in odis. 2 quick and economical overs in PP is worth value in gold.

Axar over Jadeja for me in T20’s but they will feature in there.

I don’t consider Venkatesh Iyer a bowler, he is a handy part timer who is an emergency backup. However he probably will be in the scheme of things too.

India needs to keep a surprise weapon for the World T20. Take four random pacers to Australia make them practice there, tell nobody why. Send Vikrant Gupta and his team into shock mode by announcing a wild card entry in Kartik Tyagi.

Bakwaas list

Everything is down for Bhuvi- really?

Deepak Chahar- Poor record in Oz

Siraj- What skills do you see there apart from the yorker? Cutters and Slower balls are T20 skills, what Siraj has is test skills.

Form>Talent in T20s. May not apply everywhere.

As of now, Harshal and Bumrah are our best bets. Thakur may get there because of his batting, not Chahar.

Based on couple seasons of Big Bash I have watched, a wrist spinner and pace bowler with excellent control and variation is a must, these two types in Big Bash have been good wicket taking options because of the large boundaries and catching opportunities. A bowler with 145kph pace and excellent slow ball will be golden.

Just out and out fast bowlers with no good yorker tend to go for runs. Finger spinners will be pointless in Australia.

I'd say Khaleel has been most impressive Indian pacer on display.  Showing control with both new ball & older ball.  Best left arm pacer in the country who gets good bounce from his hard lengths.

Bumrah

Harshal

Deepak/Umesh (new ball)

Khaleel

These are my top 4 picks right now.

always liked khaleel but whenever he plays for india he tried to bowl like irfan which isnt natural to him, he shud stick to his lengths

I don't think he was too bad..  He had a decent Asia cup & NZ tour.  Obviously he made a debut at 20 years of age & was quite young for a Indian pacer.   Management should have stuck with him.   Always liked what he brought to the table in ODI format.

Likes of Shardul Deepak kept him out of the side & he struggled with injury in SRH but was out bowling Bhuvi for SRH whenever he got a chance.

He was trying to develop a inswinger like Irfan.  He still hasn't perfected that.  But now bowling at a good pace & sticking through his strengths.  A good IPl here will surely put him in contention.

I think khalleel should look into Tests too. We can groom him.

I believe our bowling is almost settled. The only thing we are missing is just 1 new ball bowler who will partner Bumrah in the powerplay.

7. Jadeja

8. Harshal

9. Bumrah

10. Chahal

11. NEW BALL BOWLER

I was advocating for Siraj but he’s been really poor this IPL. Let’s hope his performances pick up so he doesn’t ruin his chances to be on that plane to Australia.

Bumrah-Siraj with the new ball

Bumrah-Patel in the death overs

he ll get better only from here  and if that injury stays away , his bowling will be very handy in Aus

He will be carted all around the park by any batting lineup worth it's salt.

This is low quality cricket, international mai inki phainti lagegi acche se.
