what's with the fixation on the 'appearance' of cricketers instead of their skillset and execution.  That's what pimply teenagers with inadequate body images do.

jab cricket ki samajh nhin hoti yahi hota hai.............kuch na kuch bakwaas karni hoti hai to body shaming hi sahi

Im talking about batting at 7 in Aus

I love chahar as he is out n out match winner with ball on his days but batting at 7 is too high for these guys. Jaddu batting has improved a lot against pace in last few yrs , although he has backfired so much that he jst cant be trusted.

Point isnt control point is batting against hard length against which even batters like kishen, pandya, shaw, samson arent that comfertable

Yep Chahar, jaddu are not #7s - 8 at best.  India need to figure out a way to find folks like Sam Curran/Moeen Ali - bowlers who can give you good number of overs, but can be used as hitters up front.  Using Hardik Pandya as a power play bowler is part of this answer possibly, but not enough.  We can't have a 2nd spinner in the XI that can't bat at above 150 SR.  I dont care if they aren't the most reliable hitter, but has to be high SR contributor.   Trying to convert Axar into somebody like that, or even Jadeja or Bhuvi/Chahar is not going to work.  They aren't that kind of batters.   That's why as much as I am aware of Krunal Pandya's limitations as a batsman and bowler, he's still up there in terms of alternatives for that 2nd spinner slot.  Yeah he's not very "likeable" whater the F that means, but that's the type of guy you want as your 2nd spinner - a guy who can bat in the top 5.  That's what will sort out the team balance.

Malnourished, overweight and average height players should not be seected in the team unless they are extraordinary. This team is filled with lot of.

The last two ipl seasons has done more harm than good, so many midgets around, we could end up having Shaw, pant, shardul, Rohit with their bellies and midgets like Kishan, chahal, bishnoi, guys like axar, harshal are always at the gym lifting, shitty vegetarian diets should be banned for good, like how on earth with all the resources available, truck loads of protein sources available you end up being looking like this. Atleast vvs, dravid, yuvi, kumble, Zak, Sourav, Srinath and prasad were tall, we had pretty tall attack back then.

I wouldn't let Dravid coach my local school team. He is a disaster.

Bring back Duncan Fletcher. At least he had ideas.

Some posters hv stated that laxman is the coach for this T20 series.

You are underrating Chahar’s batting ability.

he has played 2 match winning mature knocks. Not the slogging fluky types but actual knocks where build during a collapse and then attack. One of them against SA and the other in tough spinning conditons against Theekshana and Hasaranga and the SL fast bowlers (who are not bad).

May not mean much but also opens for his side in domestic LOI competitions.

bowling can win matches on his day .

Krunal Pandya? Very bad choice! Dude cannot handle pace. Doesn't spin the ball and is not an accurate darter.

Do you think Harshal,Axar ,kishan and too an extent current Pandya can hit all kind of bowling. This eng bowling is not even upgrade over Ireland bowling.Pandya is slowly falling in to consolidator category. He lost that little bit ability he had against medium fast bowler whom he used to hit for sixes. Best of Pandya in international was wc 19, after that he regressed so much against fast bowlers.

He's changed his batting approach and is trying to control risk - its not always easy to instantly switch gears - and the ball he got out on was just 'off' enough to skew his shot.  An inch or so difference in line and that goes for 6.  Small margins in t20 cricket at the highest level.  I don't think he's "lost" that ability to hit pace, he's just batting 'differently'.  And let's be fair - today with 4 down, he played the hand that was required - he needed to stay there till the end and he managed to do that while batting at 150+ SR.   Could he have done better? Sure.  I would expect him to nail that shot for 6 -the one he got out on.  but **** happens.  Its part of the game.

Harshal, Axar etc aren't batsmen - they may get a few shots in, when its their day.  that's the point I've been making - T20 cricket can only afford to carry 2 maybe 3 max 'bowlers'.  The 4th and especially 5th bowling options have to offer boundary hitting capabilities.  Else they are impacting team balance, especially in  a team where almost nobody in the top 5 bowls.

It's natural for "such" people to get personal and talk rubbish when they can't back their ridiculous "theories" with facts.
