Laaloo Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 Opener in T20s Number 4 in ODIs Number 6 in Tests not sure why it’s so hard for the management to figure out Mosher 1

Maxwell does all the time. Infact Kedar Jadhav learnt new style of bowling in a short span and had decent success. Vijy 1
vvvslaxman Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 India needs another Pant. Who can be that? Dinesh bana? Yash Dhull? someone who can be clutch. express bowling 1

That nerveless shot execution Pant is on another level. All these guys get nervous and do silly things. Someone who can hold the nerve and execute shots. Kishan who was Pant's opening partner in under-19 world cup is another nervy guy. When on song he can thrash the bowling. That is where Pant separate himself.

Bana has not even played any List A/FC. way too early to tell since he is merely 17. Dhull looked good in Ranji trophy, but he seems suited for long formats. not sure how fast he would score in 50 over cricket. should play some List A first, and we will then get an idea
Chakdephatte Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Look at Pant's wagon wheel No surprise England had no answers.

Was always gonna be him. but Pant was never gonna be 4 as long as Dhoni was around.. biggest reason for 2019 exit was playing with grandpa Dhoni.. since he was assured to play, TM didnt give many chances to Pant

If u can make that as ur scoring option nothing like it Rohit, dhawan, kohli, KL, pant, pandya all are good at it

Their is no reason that he shudnt succeed in t20 , he has already done well in IPL not just for 1 yr

coffee_rules Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 He will certainly be the next Indian to score a 300 in Teats. He can keep batting and hitting boundaries
Need4Speed Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Esp for Pant..we shouldnt worry too much about consistency..if it comes..I will be happy..if not then TM has given him a free hand I guess..to play the way he likes..sometimes it will come good..sometime not..but when it comes good..its such a treat to watch..with time he may get more consistent though.. In any case..why to worry too much..for some one who can end up playing many top 100 Wisden innings.. even if he is having good avg\sr cuurently..its the impact which he creates..far outweighs any stats.. in such a young age..he has played many memorable innings..and helped team to achieve lot of glory..even we could have won this test series vs Eng if others had played better.. such is the impact of this player.. Lets count his value by the number of impactful performance and not by batting parameters\stats.. else our Padosi is #1 too..not sure if he has played so many relatively impactful innings..helping his team.. Ankit_sharma03 and Mosher 1 1
