The just concluded ODI series vs England has generated a lot of interest among the general public in India

This ODI series vs England is being discussed and referred to quite a lot in the general media and among people.

 

Business channels are discussing performances by Pant, Bumrah and Hardik.

 

General news channels discussing it in great detail ... much more than other ODI series. 

 

People discussing it in the streets and public places.

 

The general public these days are enjoying India's games vs Australia and England a lot more than other games  ( given that we don't play Pakistan )

Deffo not the general public in the UK for sure... they couldn't generally give a toss about cricket as much as Indians who treat it as life and death as part of their player demi god obsession

Agree with OP here... ODI series did get a lot of traction compared to T20 series...  Considering it was a near full strength odi side of Eng. 

Also everyone is now talking about Kohli's run & he is not far from getting dropped now.

Even those of us who like cricket are struggling to care much about any of it tbh. There's far too much of it and hard to keep track of with the constant changing of formats and teams. Plus Other things to worry about like inflation, strikes and cost of living.
