Just saw the Ind A vs Nz A scorecard. He got a 5fr. Profile says Right arm medium.  Never played IPL or u-19, 28 yr old.

Don’t think ever heard his name on the forum and based on profile seems like a trundler.

any info? How the hell is he he in the A side over some names we generally hear.

hope not another addition to the trundler factory.

Bengalis hardly get any hype for some reason.

Is he good enough to deserve the hype?

i remember Dinda getting enough hype on this forum and people gave up on him real fast too. Both extremes.

They have a trio of Akash-Mukesh-Porel. None of them any special but we have similar level bowlers playing IPL for years, in fact, Thampi, Kaul, Vinay, are all worse. Dinda maybe a reason.

More than bowling how terrible are those batting techniques and batting in general.

He is fast enough for FC level and moves the ball both ways.

Bowls mid to high 130s. Faster than Porel.

If you remember, Never rated Porel even during u-19 days. However he seems to be keeping himself fit enough and doing enough to get an extended run compared to  Mavi and Nagarkotti. So good for him.

Medium pace

Medium height

Medium movement

Medium ( Middle ) age for a pacer

Everything is medium about this guy

Shami was also medium everything when he started but then developed more pace and other skills with experience. So can’t rule out anyone just on that basis.

Shami was known as a fiery fast bowler even before he debuted. Touched 146 kph in his debut test series. (  What he lacked was ability to sustain speed if he bowled 20+ overs a day ... which he later developed from 2016 )

And he always had that amazing seam position which made the ball zip through.

Moreover, Shami was very bouncy for a short guy. Kept getting the ball upto the nose with ease.

And Shami was 23 when he debuted. Mukesh is almost 29 and nowhere near debut.
