Pakistani Twitter accounts fuelling hate against Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh

While many Indians were able to see through the smokescreen and call out the Pakistani handles, some, unfortunately, fell for the hate campaign. Many of these trolls seemed to be following a toolkit of sorts to target Arshdeep.

Young pace bowler Arshdeep Singh was at the receiving end of hate-mongering after he dropped a crucial catch in the 18th over of the Super 4 clash against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022. Especially on social media, the left-arm pacer was brutally trolled and even branded a 'Khalistani' by some on Twitter. But there is more to the hate than meets the eye.

 

Many of these trolls seemed to be following a toolkit of sorts to target Arshdeep. More so, many of these accounts were from Pakistan. The propaganda machinery has been working overtime. The widely shared message read: 'Indian TV anchor from ABP News calling Arshdeep Singh a Khalistani after India loses to Pakistan today. You can't even imagine the amount of poison these hate-mongers carry in their hearts for their own Sikh people.' The same tweet has been shared with many accounts. These have been shared by many accounts like Federal Public Service Commission (@FPSC_Islamabad) and M Hasan Sial (@IMHassansial)

Shameful guys. They can't handle the win well and try to cause some sort of communal tension within India.

 

They did the same post WT20 game by creating a narrative Shami is getting hate for being Muslim. Remember even their players like Rizwan was making it a big issue. All those hate for Shami back them came from unverified twitter accounts. But the worst part is, our then captain Virat Kohli felt for it and bashed all Indian fans in the PC. 

 

Now a similar attempt being made for Arshdeep. 

 

Indian govt/BCCI need to look into this issue and if required ban all cricket ties with them, even in ICC events/Asia cups.

 

I find it so funny when our players fall for their goody goody behaviour on the field. Kutte ke dum...as they say

 

We are proud of Mohammed Shami as much as we are proud of Arshdeep.

Similarly, any online toolkit propaganda run by ISI backed ISPR towards Muslim or Khalistani hate is used by Pak trolls and our own people like intellectuals to beat Indians on how Hindus are intolerant and Bhakt mandali is behind it. Very much can be used as an election campaign by RaGa and his Pidis.

I don't understand what Rohini Singh meant by that's why they hate Kohli.

Who hates Kohli? LOL.

Yes, we criticize him for his batting but why would we hate him? He is not above criticism.

 

Now let's look at what Kohli said post the WT20 game when M.Shami was supposedly getting hate. His exact words were - 'Well thats why we are playing on field and not some spineless bunch of cowards who has no courage to speak to in person and hides behind screen to target players on social media. These are absolutely lowest class of people who operate at lowest level of human potential'

This social media politics is a very convoluted and our players and celebrities should be very judicious about their comments. If this Pakistani involvement thing is true then BCCI should make a talking point of it.( If not directly then by indirect means)
