The masses are up in arms, arguing about who screwed up! There is detailed analysis, arguments and counter arguments, stats geeks spit out all sorts of corner cases….but….

 

The most important thing is the damn toss of a coin, not talent, not skill. Dumb luck. The only sport where dumb luck is the primary thing that matters. It’s like winning money on a slot machine. Stupidest sport ever.

agree.. I can't think of any other popular sport where weather, pitch conditions can impact the result to this level.. conditions favor so much that it looks like the opp team is asked to swim with one hand tied to their back

Arrey, top batting was fairly good. In the one good match we won, they failed, but MO chased a low score. In matches lost, MO batting failed to finish well after great starts, in both matches. Sky, Pant, Pandya, Hooda. India can’t win consistently without such a inconsistent MO. Plus the bowling from Bhuvi, Chahal and Pandya was the key reason

Look at top and see how they did against SL.

If Dravid is half decent coach the opening should be a competition between Rahul, Shaw, Gill and Dhawan.

Rohit gave the impetus till he 10th over against SL, 40-ball 70. It was the MO finish that lacked. DL has to come back to this MO for his finishing skills

That is part of sports, tosses, dropped catches bad calls. Need to overcome those.

If toss is problem in T20 then toss along with bidding should be considered. For example if one captain win then plus in multiple of 5 runs should be bid.
