Ok, so it "depends"

To understand you properly - you would pick Bhuvi over Rabada in your 11

Again making too many assumptions (creating strawman) ... I asked simple questions based on your posts esp. to see what the larger point was.

Already answer yes i will take bhuvi over rabada in PP

Infact rabada i will not consider for if i have to make world XI bhuvi i will consider final selection depends on combination

Archer- bumrah are my final rest everything depends on matchups and various factors. But rabada not in consideration . Will consider a spinner over a rabada

Yes, and maybe use 10 bowlers in the 11 depending on which overs/phase they do well in :hmmmm:

I mean... what else can I say?

India just has to focus on weakness of two teams immediately. SA and Pakistan. SA should thrash us most times especially this bowling unless we play on Trivuanathapuram.  But Pakistan is beatable. They have too many holes. Only bowling is going for them. Will be a shame if India doesn't exploit their weaknesses.

Mainly discussing weaknesses of other teams as OP asked.

Ordered them from favorites to non-contenders (India I'll put them in 3rd or 4th position, would have been 2nd if selectors had got it right, still won't be surprised if we go deep, I have my reasons for that, many against popular opinion here...can play out like 2015 WC where we were 2nd best team on display but got a hiding in SF against the deserving champs). Also as disclaimer I do think the other group (Aus, NZ, Eng....) is much tougher, not weakness per se but makes it tougher to get to KOs from there.

Aus- Batting vs spin (relatively), Finch/Smith combo if both play (classic Indian playbook :phehe:)...think they'll drop Smith, Finch's form is a huge concern however. Otherwise on paper the team with least weakness, won't be surprised if they go into 2015 WC mode and bulldoze the competition. For other teams there is home team pressure factor, pressure due to favorites tag, but Aussies are mental beasts. Head and shoulders above other teams (among top 3 teams in batting against hard length pace, ideal bowling unit in the form of tall+fast hit the deck quicks and the world's best wrist spinner). Also historically after long gap of not winning something when they break the jinx, they usually win a few consecutive times (WC 99, 03, 07....CT 2006, 09).

RSA- Van Dussen's absence means they don't have services of their best batsman against hard length pace, Bavuma quota selection, Kock's form and his influence on team spirit/cohesion, poor death bowling (unpopular opinion but I don't think their T20 pace bowling attack is that fearsome), history against them cos of 'chokers' tag, will miss a fast bowling AR like Morris....don't like their team balance and 6th bowling option.

NZ- Australia, being in Australia's group which guarantees them starting at -1, Australian conditions including size of boundaries, Ferguson's fitness, Williamson being a sure starter, lack of a single X factor batsman, and did I mention Australia? However if hosts have a stinker or someone takes them out in SF these super efficient Kiwis can go all the way.

Eng- worst captain this edition, absence of too many stalwarts and big game players (Roy, Bairstow, Stokes, Archer), inconsistent batting, one tempo team which can't adjust with minor changes in playing conditions (this is where Root scores over a rubbish batsman like Malan, blunder by their management), rank mediocre fast bowling especially in death, also decline of Rashid bhai makes their spin attack look impotent,

Lanka- Crazy inconsistent batting, crazy inconsistent fast bowling, lack of experience.....can't asses them that well, but if they click they can surprise the more fancied teams. Even Aussies will be cautious against them. Frankly they give me 2012 WI vibes , team to watch out for.

WI- Seem to have lost interest, lack of cohesion (different under skippers like Sammy and Holder), absence of many of their top players, humongous boundaries which works against their six hitting gamestyle, awful bowling/form/fitness/fielding, tough group. See them repeating their 2021 T20 WC performance.

Pak- 25 years long mental scars/trauma in Australia, worst batting line up against hard length and bounce, slow as molasses openers, no middle order to speak of, fast bowlers who have consistently got their lengths wrong in Aus for last 25 years in all formats, Shaheen returning after long gap, Naseem with his height will go at 12 rpo against all top teams, poor team balance, har jagah locha hai-> fielding, fitness, captaincy, horrible team for Aussie conditions. This isn't UAE, expect them to be punching bags this time. I read somewhere that they are yet to win a T20I in Aus, yet to post 150...sums it up, Australia brings out the worst in them.

Again I haven't followed much cricket for last 12 months. I may be working on dated info and wrong intuition, don't know a whole lot about many players, changing T20 tactics, form, team combos etc. I haven't even included important parameters like PP bowling and depth of batting since I don't have complete info.

Would take Rabada over Ngidi in Aus easily.Ngidi,Nortje etc are support bowlers where Rabada is spearhead

Better in death and can strike early with pace and bounce.

Rabada death bowler? Better than Nortje? Nortje is among the best hard length bowlers ever, he can bowl any time anywhere. His control is better than any other express pacer.

Could we see a repeat of 2015 WC?

SF 1: Aus vs Ind (this time us finishing 2nd in pool stage)

SF 2: RSA vs NZ

Aus demolishing us in SF, NZ somehow finding a way to beat RSA, then we know what awaits cricket fans in the final

Pakistani have issues against pace and leg spinners but we will pick bhuvi and chahal lol

Barring a miracle we should crush Pakistan on 23rd. Toss isn't a big factor there and even our trundlers will be too much for their batting lineup in those conditions. Their quicks will bowl the wrong lengths in all stages of the game (PP, middle overs, death), abhi se likh lo. Seen this play out too many times to keep count, Pakistani batting vs bounce is always comedy, even if that bounce is at 125-130 kph, they have 3-4 Shreyas Iyers in their top 7, remaining will play at Dhawan's SR on their best days.

I hope what u said turns out to be true.

But the way Poyz thrashed NZ in NZ today makes me think otherwise.

Our batting is a lot better than what NZ offered poyzz today...no Guptill, no Mitchell . Conway and Williamson are match losers for Nz with their playing style in the top3. And total duds against spin..

lol Worse. Babar is one of the major culprit. Once the ball goes above his hip he can't pull. He more often than skews straight up in the air.
