Boult, Southee, Rabada, Jensen have the ability to blow away our top order in 3-4 overs especially here. There is nothing after Kohli and Surya. Pendu is hit and miss, DK is Fraud, Axar is lol and rest tatti. How the * are we even suppose to get past crunch matches with this paper thin batting.. :wall:

Axar selection may backfire given his recent thrashing. They absolutely destroyed Shakeb Al hasan who is a far better bowler than Axar. I would strengthen the batting  and also shuffle the batting. DK vs pant. can go with either one. No issues. Neither of them look good.

Let’s talk weaknesses of SA

Bavuma , who can come back to form against India

Too many all-rounders can be bad as well. Think England.

Rabada chokes in big games, mental midget like KL

Vikram Rathore said KL will play , but also hinted Pant is being told to be ready. Are they looking to replace DK with Pant?

Maybe axar for pant....in Perth axar won't be needed

They would need a cushion in bowling...maybe 24 Slow ball Patel will sneak in silently.

Thakur would have been ideal. He has proved himself here. He can also bat on these bouncy tracks better.

Yes, But Thakur and Siraj are just reserves and not in 15. We are past that discussion. Can’t speak of Thakur, Siraj for Perth which is less than 24 hours away.

It is a travesty that we went with a light weight fast unit.  I am not sure what role Harshal will play here given that he relishes bowling slower balls.

Perth is expected to be a 150-170 pitch esp. since NED-PAK play before this game ... Bavuma may turn out to be useful for SA on such a pitch if strokemakers play around him

They will use different pitches for each match and there might be some running over the second pitch but not much.

I just saw the highlights of Nortje vs Bangles and his 3 wicket balls were 147/148/151 kmph..........Has he regularly been bowling 140+ lately? Could be a handful at Perth. From the photos one can barely tell the pitch from the outfield at Optus. Lot of grass on pitch.

What do you mean?you will be upset or ind winning will be an upset.

Missed the I in your post, thought you said it will be an upset if we lose. I think it will be an upset if we win. SA are clear favorites here.  India winning is never upsetting for me personally  :isalute:
