Vickydev
Looking at the list, first thing BCCI needs to do is sort their name out. It's from the colonial age Link to comment

Bigg Brother
Not much gap between BCCI and CA. The way people sing songs about BCCI's richness, i thought the gulf between 1st and 2nd would be bigger.. Sgattick10 1 Link to comment

IPL brings in as much money if not more but I don’t think it’s the same for Big bash. However, credit to CA for having such a revenue in a country where cricket is not followed as religiously as it is in India. Link to comment
javier26
And BCCI's numbers are also dependent on a Billion plus population market. Aussies are how many ? Like 20-25 Million. From the number it looks like Aussies are the biggest revenue generators in Cricket ( relative to Population ). Edited November 21, 2022 by javier26 Link to comment
javier26
Test Cricket , the 5 days game is definitely followed more passionately in England and Australia. Come during the boxing day Summer Test, Aussies will be making record of 80k, 90k fans in the stadium.. where in India will so many people flock to stadium to watch a Test match ? Link to comment

It's simply the size of India that makes people blind to the fact that on a proportionate basis, Indians care less about cricket than those in ENG and AUS. At last someone says this. It's so obviously true, it's strange that people think otherwise. sarchasm 1 Link to comment

It's so obviously true, it's strange that people think otherwise. That's not true at all. Per capita numbers are higher simply because they're a richer country. (1) If average income is $40,000 and people spend 1% on cricket that's $400 revenue. (2) If average income is $2,000 and people spend 10% on cricket that's $200 revenue. Scenario (2) would 'care' more about cricket but have lower per capita revenue. Link to comment
putrevus
Cricket Australia's revenue is very impressive given their population. Link to comment

How did you conclude my post or @express bowling's post had anything to do with revenue? How else can you argue that cricket is 'more religiously followed in the UK than India' - that's obviously not true Link to comment
javier26
Even Pakistani numbers look impressive considering their Population is 1/6th of India and less said the better about their economy compared to India. PCB is generating that much revenue without playing any home series against India. More impressive. Edited November 21, 2022 by javier26 Link to comment

I'd say most religious following is from East and West Pak Link to comment
