How long will the Mumbai lobby keep pushing for Shreyas Iyer?

This management and selectors have no brain.

They rate everything based on performance but no understanding of the factors that leading to performance or loss of that.

Iyer is not a T20 player. He can smash spin but will struggle vs pace. That will be enough to give him 30 runs of 20 balls but he will always struggle to play a match winning knock on his own in T20s.

Samson must play. Keep S Iyer in ODIs only.

In 50 overs , opposition with 3 pacers has more balls to smoke him out . Then case of hitting spinners goes out of the window.

SA had Rabada and Nortje. Didn't stopped him from getting a hundred. He is happy to leave those short balls in ODIs. T20s is where he sucks. Teams with two spinners will bowl 15-16 overs of spin in middle overs, he cashes in those situations.

Rest if you are looking for a perfect batsman then there isn't any in Indian team now. Rahul, Kishan, Samson all have flaws.

Agree. Oppositions are not that naive, they will chalk out a plan and won't feed him spinners. However I think he will still get away with it in Indian conditions.

SPot on. He had a very good run in the one dayer last time. Last time he made 103,52,62 in NZ in the one dayers. Yes he has issues on pitches with extra bounce. If you look at it INdian main line up all failed at Perth.

DK plays short ball well lol But his mental midgetry will trump everything.  For now Samson can replace him in T20. In ODI he is a must. IT is a 50 over game only guy who shows capability of building an innings.

Should never be anywhere near the t20 team unless it's held in India. Fed up with him.  The guy's technique against short ball is so terrible that he got exposed even against **** windies pace bowlers on carribean pitches which had some bounce and carry.

Even in India he is not suitable for T20I. He is an innings builder. He can't go bang bang from t he get go.
