It means now we have a possibility that both Umran and Kuldeep can play together, Siraj being another defacto while one of Shardul/Chahar at no 8.

Spinning allrounders at 6 and 7 can be Washington and Axar/Shahbaz.

I think still one of them would play...  Shardul might take one spot & Siraj & Umran/Kuldeep will be starters.

Hopefully Kuldeep gets to start this up based on pecking order.  He was withdrawn from NZ series.

One of them is sure starter, else Shardul Chahar Siraj has to play along with 3 spinning allrounders Axar, Washy and Shahbaz.

Batting will become till 10 but it will dent bowling (specially death) badly and Bangladeshi batters aren't that poor against spin.

But TBH, you never know with our Think Tank.

Good decision.

I hope Mukesh Kumar does not replace Shami in the test squad.

It will be like replacing a car with a rickshaw.

Dravid is still our coach. I won't be surprised if he bench all 3 fast bowlers and play with Shardul & Chahar along with 3 spinners.

Seems like Rohit is the mastermind behind this.

Dravid did support Tyagi, Nagarkoti, Mavi during U19 while ignoring Arshdeep.

While Rohit did not give Mohsin Khan a single game during his MI days.

Dravid's fault is that he bows down to Rohit's whims.

@Mosher, @Suhaan  bros, what do you think ?

Rohit Sharma has been quite poor as a leader
It was expected of him to bring in some new names,Prasidh,Tyagi all are lost in wilderness

Shami who didn't play a single game before Pakistan game in t20 wc was trusted over Siraj,Umran etc
That tells you about his awareness,Chahal was carried despite his long running mediocrity, one too many trundlers in Aussie conditions

He's been a comple disaster of  and has been a freeolader as a batsmen
Should retire for betterment of Indian cricket and for himself, asap
