Chakdephatte
From domestic to international, he has been wasted for slog overs, a role he is not capable for. Why not use his spin hitting in the middle? Can surprise the opposition once in a while. Edited January 5, 2023 by Chakdephatte Link to comment

maniac
Only in middle overs if spinners are bowling but then again Hooda and Pandya are better options to take down spin. I think Axar is good in his role as a no.7-8 who can play useful cameos or stick around in a collapse. Promoting him is of no use as he will not be useful in top order out of sc even if he clicks in a couple of games. Might as well promote Mavi and give him a license to swing for some quick runs. Compact technique and will do much better against pace at times if you want a pinch hitter. Lord 1 Link to comment
Number
He is already batting a position up. Ideal no. 8 with hitting capability. Majestic 1 Link to comment
Majestic
NO. We all saw what was his contribution in T20 World Cup. That tournament proved he is no better than no.7. If you bowl him in slot, he is capable of hitting boundaries and sixes but if you bowl tight lines and length, he doesn't have anything else to respond back. He is better at 7 only. Sending Axar up the order means someone will have to go one position down and none of the top 6 can come and slog at 7 straightaway. They will hate batting there because they know they will not get enough chance and enough time there to bat. Edited January 5, 2023 by Majestic Vijy 1 Link to comment

As a pinch hitter. Like Dhoni does with Thakur or we did with Agarkar a few times. Link to comment

Vickydev
He has all the tools to become Shadab like with the bat....gifted with timing and plays big shots without losing shape like Tewatia, something which even SKY struggles to do. Has shown glimpses in the past in that series in WI, couple of years back. His bowling is ordinary for LOIs though. Can't pick him as one of 5 bowlers with Pandya and the balance is messed up as a result. Link to comment
Lord
good spin hitter but thats it. Link to comment

Lord
Looks like he has improved his batting (atleast v spin and medium pace) but at the cost of bowling Had a weirdly poor series with ball on tracks that assisted except last game. Link to comment
Vijy
since he is currently our best bat on turners, have him play at no. 4 or no. 5 and stop bowling; the latter is quite crappy nowadays. he seems to have evolved very rapidly into batter who can bowl part-time. he is now more of a sundar-like player, except that sundar's batting is more suitable for all conditions Link to comment
Lord
no. 5 is too high for him in ODIs. Should be no. 7 Link to comment
Tibarn
These are our players who have a SR above 140 in T20Is Who would have thought the list would be Axar, DK, and Raina? Link to comment
