he had got his mojo and was batting well and suddenly he tried to guide towards gully and did not notice the fielder....

gill played a bit slow scoring 46 off 36 balls probably had to score 60 off the 36 balls , he faced. 

he is a bit defensive and Hence not too much of an ideal batsman for T20. ishan would score in the next match soon. He becomes deadly once he settles down.

His technique is iffy but Windies have slowish pitches on most venues.  Game play vs spin &,  wrist spin is crucial.  Definately needs to play T20Is for now.  1 format player strictly

Unfortunately that such innings are called cameos by the commies, that was a great innings bringing momentum to an otherwise awful PP. 

30 + runs in a T20 , especially if scored at high strike rate, is not a cameo.

In Asia sure. Absolutely. 

But in SEA conditions can he play bounce? Excluding nz because for some reason even iyer did well there.

Yep.   I m still happy that he could be an asset in asia and windies.   Atleast has shown the intent.   Fed up with the other rahul(kela) who is a proven bottler every time.

May be more time he plays international he might improve. Shreyas Iyer was poor earlier but now he can at least survive

Gill to open instead of Kishan in series opener :

India have some serious decisions to make. Iyer and Suryakumar appear to be fighting for one spot, after Rohit said in the pre-match presser that Shubman Gill will start ahead of Ishan Kishan, despite Kishan scoring a double-hundred in his last ODI. That means KL Rahul is likely to take a place in the XI as the wicketkeeper. Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav could be in a battle too. Same with Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik.

 

Moron Rohit and Dravid are back with their BS. They will not allow to settle in Kishan in XI  so that Kela can be made permanent keeper, on what basis they are playing Gill ahead of Kishan. Double centurian dropped soon after scoring double hundred like Nair dropped for Rahane. No one is there to question their decision.

Gill will be discarded soon after couple of failures and Dhawan will be back twirling his moustaches and slapping his thighs.

Also Pant is injured and Gill has been brought in to eliminate Kishan so that Kela can kept his position as keeper batter and then once Gill will fail as you said dhwan will be bright in. Dravid and Rohit are corrupt at different level.

This thread just shows how bad Inds top 3 T20 batters are, when ppl are celebrating 35 runs.

 

Ind need more such player who has intent and guts to play t20 cricket for the team's cause.

 

There were 2 vastly different innings were being played between GIll and Tripathi. Gill -46 runs of 36 balls and Tripathi -35  of 16.

In more clear prospective Gill 46 in 6 overs 1 wkt - Not acceptable at any stage of a t20 game, Tripathi 36 in less than 3 overs 1 wkt will take it any day in T20s

Rohit and TM have committed KL a spot till world Cup for the night jobs he has given to them. BCCI is a corporate body and those extracurricular acty matter in the appraisal.

Players like Kishan should look for opportunities in US or European teams. The pay will be decent  and they can still play IPL to earn enough money. This mafia system needs to be broken.
