Timid Rohit talks about “ruthlessness”

You cant be ruthless when you insist on playing 34/35 year olds across formats.

Just look at the stark contrast between India and England in the World T20 semifinal. Only Stokes was a Test regular in that side whereas 7 of our players were starters in the Test side.

And Stokes is a much more durable athlete than we can hope to produce most of the time. And here we have the likes of Kohli still thinking he can play all 3 formats + IPL.

The kind of results Ind batter are coming up says otherwise, most of them still playing selfish and decade old cricket -Trying to stay in the team.

How easily Rohit said in an interview that he is content with where he is when asked about not being in Test side during some PC in 2018-19 . But when asked if he will leave out T20Is he had different answer.

Ind batting in last 2/3 years looks like if Ind is trying to build a new batting line up not with batters who have already played years and years of cricket,

They are not able to  deliver in any big match, In T20i and ODIs they are only able to achieve par scores which Ind bowler fails to defend.

Not sure if Selfish, backwards thinking, no thoughts/plan trying to save themselves is how ruthlessness is defined. But Ind cricket these days are writing new definitions where 17 runs in a test are good enough, 130 kmphish bowler are fast enough,

border line fit players are fit enough. Not able to win any significant Cups and trophies are good enough

Of all the cups/trophies  India has won so far in its history. Except 2011 finals where India batted second, bowlers defended below par scores in all of them.2011 semis bowlers again defended a below par score.

Almost all bowlers who won India cups were medium pacers and spinners.

If India fails to win ICC test final next month. All achievements made by test team a waste?

Trophies cannot be only measure for success.

Standard lip service, commentators provide the starters (Chivda) and the captain provides the main course (Vada Pav).
What's next ? Ban or restrict left arm quicks from bowling in-swingers to RHBs.
