wanted_desi
It is real shame that Rahane is being called for few 100's against weaker sides in domestic cricket, Pujara was called after smashing village crickets in county. Whereas the guy who has been scoring 100s for fun in domestic, 200s in Irani trophy, scoring against international quality with ease in IPL, finding gaps without any effort is not being looked after. He looks like a real deal. It is time to replace hack Ishan Kishan with him as back up opener in LOIs. We didn't have back up keeper in 2011 WC or 2003 WC, the ones where we had the most success. Texan
The "seniors" in cahoots with the team management will do their best to keep him out, otherwise, it will end up exposing them and risk their brand values. BCCI will duly comply. Throwaib_Chuckter, express bowling, SandeepMotta and 2 others 1 4 Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
He is definitely the best T20 opener in the country as seen in the IPL. Link to comment
Majestic
Disagree.. A couple of games ago, Jaiswal played a match losing Knock where he slowed down after 9th over. Had he been a veteran, he would have been criticised heavily. This is the first season where Jaiswal has hit 400 runs and it is his first IPL hundred. He has quite some way to go to be considered best batsman in the country on current form. As of now, the standings are : Tests :- 1. Rishabh Pant 2. Rohit Sharma 3. Ravindra Jadeja ODIs : 1. Shubhman Gill 2. Shreyas Iyer 3. Sanju Samson T20Is: 1. Surya Kumar Yadav 2. Virat Kohli 3. Hardik Pandya eulbninem 1 Link to comment

bowl_out
Ideally Gill and Jaiswal should be opening options along with Rohit. Samson should be roped in the middle order as the keeper. Looks like KL is injured. If he pulled a hamstring, it might be difficult to recover in time for the WC Link to comment
Need4Speed
I wont say he is best batsmen currently but what I can say he has gone one level up from last time..for sure..while Shaw and Paddikal has regressed.. this guy is mentally strong and means business..kind of folks we need..he is taking on international quality bowlers well..and even eclipsing Jos Butler.. In due time I would like to see him open with Shubhman Gill.. and cmon RR..give him some overs..I know we hav eimpact sub but we need players who have some AR ability to be groomed.. I always get jealous when I see Liam Livingstone has been made into a batting AR..and I want Yashaswi to be groomed for his leg spin too..he is mentally strong guy and willing to learn..I am sure he could do well in future.. He should be ideally, but I don't see him making into the XI.... Rohit, Gill, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Jadeja, Bharat are your top 7 Ashwin/Axar will play at 8 and then 3 seamers. Link to comment

Vijy
he is certainly the most promising, but it's a bit of stretch to call him the best -- if we include Pant, I would say pants is more proven and dynamic Link to comment
