Honestly, I cannot find one good reason. If it is giving him 15 crore, they should have given it. What is wrong with SRH think tank to release Rashid Khan into auction.

He wanted to be the first retention. They wanted to make Williamson their first :hysterical::hysterical:

Now both are with Gujarat Titans :hysterical::hysterical:

That's the rumour. But it maybe just Murali's ego. They definitely had rift with him as well as Warner.

PS last yr Ferguson played for GT too. This yr, he was transferred to KKR (to free up budget) and hardly even bowled an impactful over. So playing for GT brings out the best in these players!

This yr, GT added Little, who has been promising and has already won a man of the match award.

Hyderabad stadium suited almost all their bowlers. Knuckle ball bowlers, spinners. They didn't value his contribution as much. Their problem was always batting. So they focused mainly on batting forgetting how important it is to restrict sides.

Uppal stadium is traditionally a slow and gripping surface, where trundlers and spinners thrive...SRH perhaps underestimated Rashid Khan and though they will be able to compensate with Adil Rashid.

SRH IMO should release all pacers who bowl 140+..they should trade

1. Sid Kaul from RCB

2. Sandeep Sharma from RR

3. Mukesh Kumar from DC

4. Avesh Khan from LSG

Imagine a bowling unit of Bhuvi, Natarajan, Mukesh, Sid Kaul, Sandeep, Avesh...with their slow cutters and knuckle bowls..they will send a chill to the spine of batters who're going to face this fearsome trundler bowling attack.

Lara said that the opposition was just playing out Rashid without conceding wickets and that he had thus ceased to be an attacking bowler. But I think the real reason is money and SRH's weak team.  Rashid was offered a very good deal which he accepted, and Lara's words seem like sour grapes.
