Even in India we play 2 or 3 pacers in ODIs. They are needed in the first 10 overs, the last 6 overs and in the middle too if and when the spinners get hit.

 

Siraj is the first choice pacer in the absence of Bumrah. 

 

Moreover, there are some venues like Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala and Pune which aid pace bowling.

Madhwal is good primarily with his yorkers. 

 

We need more than that in ODIs.

 

Kuldeep is a proven.performer in ODIs and Bishnoi has played just 1 ODI. Which is why I have chosen Kuldeep.

Harshit is a complete bowler.  Pace, bounce, accuracy, swing, seam, Yorkers, bouncers and slower balls. Very high ceiling as a bowler. Plus he is in form and has loads of match practice.

 

Umran is better than nobody when he isn't bowling flat out fast and is bowling too many short balls. And that is exactly what he is doing nowadays. He needs to attack the stumps at 150 k and only then can he be considered. He must remember that his only asset at the moment is pace and he lacks natural bounce to be bowling too many short balls. 

 

Tyagi is very rusty and lacking match practice. Till he plays domestic cricket, he can't be picked.

On current form Harshit is better than the two. Umran has advantage of pace and Tyagi of skills...but both are not using it efficiently. 

Harshit is fast, accurate and has bounce as well....Umran lacks bounce and Tyagi is lacking accuracy. So Harshit at the moment is more useful for us.

 

Though Tyagi once he set with his new action can make a comeback. Umran has bit more problems to solve...

I think people are more concerned about the batting ability of our Maharathi's...little bit of movement and the King, Hitman and Kamaal lajawab's of world will crumble like flash of cards.

What people on the streets think does not matter. Ashwin's selection would have nothing much to do with his batting, which is probably inconsequential unless a low-scoring game.  If he is picked (could be in the squad), it would be because of pitches and the team wanting an off-spinner to bowl to left-handers (based on some irrelevant/outdated match-up)!

Your top 7 has to be world class. Then only we can go with 4 weak lower order batsmen. In current form this is a trashy unit.  You can put together a side that will beat this side.
