Majestic
The reason COUNT was able to block in Sydney and Brisbane 2020-21 was because Pant/Gill really took apart the bowlers and put them under pressure. It just didn't allowed the Aus pacers to maintain their focus on getting Pujara out because they were taking the game away. raki05 and Frustrated 2 Link to comment

In Brisbane, Pujara waited to ensure that India was first in a situation where it would be difficult for it to lose. Tomorrow too, don't be surprised if wickers are lost in a similar fashion. As predicted! Link to comment

Even then Pujara averaged meagre 35 in the series and was 5th or 6th best batsman for india in each match. Link to comment

Pujara was Ind's most consistent test batsman in the last two tests in Aus in 2021, where he scored 3 50s in 4 innings PS And enough has been written about his heroics in that series too - Link Edited June 11, 2023 by zen Link to comment

deepdynamo
Pujara has played his last match. Cut him some slack. He never asked to be selected even after **** performances in last 3 years. If selectors or TM are blind, no fault of him. No one retire gracefully in Indian cricket. 100 tests, 7k runs. Thank You. Move on. Link to comment
kosingh
Here's yet another similar shot by him from country. He has been experimenting with these cute little shots all season. Might have worked in county. Trying it against top international bowlers in the biggest test match of all is ridiculous. Link to comment
