zen
What a performance by the champion team. World titles automatically come to them - after ODI and T20s, now have added the WTC to their kitty! You have to appreciate Aus cricket. Play their cricket in relatively sporting conditions, pick their players wisely, back the right set of young players, don't get discouraged by losses, which are a part of the game, and continue the march to dominate world cricket! Well done Roos. They have BBL too but don't tout it as the be-all end-all of world cricket. Chuckte Raho TC Link to comment

Yeah, a clutch team as I don't recall Aus losing a world final apart from the 1975 one v WI and 2010 v Eng. If Aus is in the final, it usually wins it. I would have liked to see Aus take on a team like Eng, which would have probably made it a more competitive game. Link to comment

Gollum
Since our last WC win, Aussies have won a WC, a T20 WC and a WTC title. In their so called weaker era. Still every year we have loads of events celebrating 1983 and 2011 triumphs, Aussies have even stopped counting their ICC wins. Cricket is fading in popularity there, but you can never keep them out. Lone Wolf
Their team selections are always on point... goat team for a reason. Deserved winners. Kiwis didn't deserve to be the winners of last cycle. But Aussies deserve every bit of this silverware. Congrats to greatest sporting nation on the planet. Link to comment
zen
The best way to stop Aus is by preventing it from getting into the final! Link to comment
Majestic
Australia have proved again that they are by far the greatest cricket nation ever. You can make 5 tests XI, that's how strong they have been historically and even now. Link to comment
nevada
They settled it on day 1 itself. Travis stepped up like a champ to take the game away from the opposition. This is sweet revenge for the garbage pitches they were dished out in the recent series in India. Like NZ last time, India didn't even deserve to be in the final. Link to comment
rtmohanlal
Don't read too much into this 1 off test . Aussies were no: 1 in points table any way. That is what actually counts. Aussies were far more equipped to win this lone test match when compared to India. And they went on to do just that , as expected . It is simply not like a 50 0ver world cup where all teams compete in the same conditions and eventually 1 team emerges victorious. That has lot lot more credibility . This too deserves credit , but relatively far lesser. Link to comment
