I don’t remember Bhandya in his 8 years of long career played an inning like this and won his team a crucial match in world event. Adamant, sandeep, vvvslaxman and 8 others 1 8 2

nitinbwj Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 That was a freak performance that forget Bandya, no one would have achieved it. He smashed windies twice with the bat and then with the ball.He had an avg of 25 and strike rate of 80 before this.... Nope.. Bandya ain't doing ****. raki05 1
Adamant Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 No, he can't bowl 145 kph like Pandya. raki05 and Lord 2

Sandeep Sharma was preferred over Kuldeep Sen consistently...do you consider Sandeep a long time prospect ? Harshit Rana kept on warming bench and only got a chance when Umesh Yadav got injured (after taking 1 wkt in 8 games). IPL glorifies "defensive" bowlers, as most of our pitches are slow and low bounce they don't offer any support to hit the deck pacers. Last season was an anomaly when we got supportive pitches of Wankhede to play along. Same IPL is used as a metric these days to even judge Test performers, hence likes of Mukesh Kumar, Chetan Sakariya and Jaydev Unadkut get preference over the new pacers courtesy of they "experience" and defensive skillsets. I know it's a private league and franchise select players for their own benefit. But there is no doubt our selectors consider IPL performance heavily. Norman and raki05 1 1
