Look at the condition of two balls. Changed one is almost new.

They showed the shiny side on  the right picture and rough side on the left picture

Tbf it's part of home advantage,no one wants to lose at home.

In hindsight, why did Aus Aus chose to chase in the 4th inn on winning the toss? Almost like the Eng blunder  the of 2nd test.

I thought it was the right decision but Aus dropped a lot of catches in the 1st inning which let eng off the hook ,else aus might have won.

This ball thing applies to both teams right? Either side can request it is checked and umpires will push it through template?

“As soon as they changed that ball, I knew straight away that ball was very different,” Khawaja said.

“I went up to (umpire Kumar Dharmasena) and asked, ‘How old this ball? It feels like it’s eight overs old.’ You could see the writing both sides, and it hit my bat so hard. I’ve opened the batting in every single innings this Ashes series, and I haven’t felt a ball hit my bat as hard as that ball. I said to the boys coming in, ‘Be careful, this new ball is going to be tricky’,” he added.

“Some things you can’t control in this game, and it’s disappointing for us because it felt like we had a real stranglehold on that game. That ball was at 90 overs and it was still hooping around corners and the keeper’s taking it above his head. It really hurts you. England is a class bowling attack, and if you give them a little inch, they will always get as much out of it,” said Khawaja who finished the series as the highest run-scorer.

They better change it based on umpires incompetence here .That incompetence has changed complete series on its head.

I am not going as far as accusing them of bias but if Aussies think like that, they are not wrong.

Dharmasena was involved in another major blunder which gifted England world cup.

I totally support Ponting on his  moments against England.  I also support England in their reply to Australia on the issue.

Basically I both sides whinging against the other, because I’m always stocking up in the ammo of whataboutery when I need to whinge about the inevitable wrongs done against my precious, my Indian team.
