Yep.  But they probably won't risk him playing a high pressure game since he has not played intl cricket in last 5 months.  Its not just about picking another injury but also about the ability to play a match winning knock after such a long lay off.   That too against quality teams.

If u go through this forum for last few months, except 1 or 2 posters, no one rates him highly.  He was picked based on just 1 good IPL season (2022).  Ind badly needed a left arm seamer. And he was slotted in. Don't see him lasting long in intl cricket in any format.

On pakistani pitches even Chahal would average over 50 with zero batting and fielding abilities. Shadab hasnt been grest in ODI’s of late but Usama is there as the backup.

For Asia Cup , where teams will play a maximum of 6 games , we are allowed to pick a 17 member squad. But for a World Cup , where every team will play a bare minimum of 9 games are allowed to pick just 15. What a joke lol...

 

 

OTOH , Fifa and UEFA allow squads of 24 players for the World Cup and the Euros..

Kishan is a spin basher...if he can curb his instincts of going in cow corner. He can be an asset in middle overs. His problem is strike rotation though.
