nitinbwj
We talk about pressure of big games and here we have an absolute champion. His first thow was a foul. His second throw was very good 88.17 and he knew it. Weber just couldn't get past 84. Nadeem second throw was a monster at over 87. Texan
Neeraj Chopra Just keeps adding more yellow metal. Surely, he is already one of the greatest sportsperson produced by India, if not the greatest already. Texan
What is even more encouraging is that there were 3 Indians in the top 6. This augurs really well for Indian sports that athletics that was generally considered in the past as something beyond our capabilities is an area where we are making our presence felt now. coffee_rules
Gollum
Neeraj gold, a Pakistani winning silver. Total 3 Indians in top 6, 4 South Asians in top 6. This would have been unimaginable 10 years ago. We can only keep getting better at this, so many youngsters would have been inspired by Neeraj Chopra to take up this sport. Gollum
Neeraj has completed javelin, won everything out there. Olympic gold World Championship gold Diamond League gold Asian Games gold CWG gold He is only 25!!!!! He is the undisputed GOAT of Indian sports now, in my book even ahead of our great hockey stalwarts of the grass turf era. No cricketer is even in the same ball park as Neeraj. What is great to see is that he didn't suffer any dip in performance after the post-Tokyo celebrations/hype, endorsements, fame, money etc. His feet are firmly on the ground, I hope by the end of his career he is in the league of Carl Lewis and Sergey Bubka. Lone Wolf
Neeraj's technique is far more refined & he puts a lot of effort in his throw. Reason for his consistency Arshad is like a gentle giant with brute force... His leg muscles & run up needs work. Not your typical athlete. But it works for him so all good. coffee_rules
nevada
This guy has nerves of steel and didn't baulk at favorite tag or pressure. To achieve this level of excellence after coming back from surgery is amazing. He is in a league of his own. coffee_rules

He is happy there are four Indians in the sport and hoped 4 qualify and play in Olympics. I really liked his No look throw. He was just confident.
