For so many test matches, we have been wasting Washington potential with bat by giving him a run at No. 7/8. Always believed he has the game & temprament to bat in Top 6. Just hope he will get a fair run now. We don't have any batsman who can bowl. Imagine what Washington can give us -- batting in Top 6 who can bowl well.

Washington is a poor batsman with tail so lets see if he can bat with proper batsman. First sign-- promising.

Test 100 in England, day 5, saving a match. Talk nah.

He can overtake both Ash and Jadeja and that's a huge thing.

12 tests so far in his career. In at least half of them he has given clutch performances. Still haters will keep hating.

Our fans only look at negatives

One of the best young cricketers in world cricket. Only in India do we play down our young guns. Let his critics name other players who had such an impactful first 12 tests in their careers especially away from home.

I am sure Jaiswal, Sai, Jurel, KD, all will prove these agenda posters wrong.

Few superstars(batsmen) will be hyped rest will be abused.

OTOH Poms hype Stokes so much that it actually makes him look better than he is.

It will take one failure for our fans to turn 180 degree lol  Strokeless wonder, selfish  etc..

If you saw his innings, he wasn't bothered about his 100. Was blocking, blocking, blocking in his 70s like Pujara. Put the team first.

Does anyone remember he looked the most assured batter when Boland was spitting fire in Sydney test 2nd innings.

He is special and it will be a big travesty of Indian cricket if we don't give him a chance at number 3.

Ideal long term #3 for me. Make Sai bat at 5, Pant 6 and we get a much more solid batting lineup

When you look at Zak acrawley is an opener who has no real defensive technique this guy is a legit top order. Just that he has to adjust his mindset.
