How lucky were Pakistan today or was the DLS outcome fair?

If India got 200/1 after 25 overs chasing 400, we all would have claimed victory.

It was terrific innings from Zaman and he was still going strong.

Who is we? Fakhar played great but one mishit and they were done. 8.5 an over for 25 overs is not a joke. If this were simulated in an alternate universe 100 times Pak would lose the game 90 times from that position.

Exactly one wicket and they were done

Last year's T20 South Africa lost to Netherlands, some how Pakistan reached final.

This year also.

Great innings by 1 man but do they really deserve to be in semi final. After conceding 400 they get rewarded with rain shortened match.

Luck works in mysterious ways.

I cannot remember last time India having this sort of luck.

In 50 over world cups India has lost only 4 games since 2011, Pakistan have already lost 4 in this tournament so far.

Pakistan has so many flaws yet are in contention for a semi final place.

Funniest thing was NZ had a brief window of 4 overs to pull things back DLS-wise, when Pakistan innings restarted, but they bowled 2 overs to Sodhi out of those 4 overs and he managed to go for 32 runs in those 2 overs. If not Pakistan could fall behind the DLS. Big tactical mistake.

One of those brainfart decisions that NZ inevitably makes in a World Cup, generally against teams like Pakistan.

This. It was epic f*** up lol Kane's overthinking captaincy is past by sell date. He should have gone with seamers and asked them to bombard with bouncers.

they were 200/1 in 25 overs. Pakistan should be disappointed, they could have bettered their run rate.

Actually NZ gained NRR. Pakistan lost NRR lol The result was good for them. But NRR was not good.

Way I see it, cricket is like life, fair and unfair doesn’t come into it.

What matters is did Pakistan deserve to win? After that Fakhar innings, yes they did.  Can’t deny them that.

For me, that’s case closed.

Exactly. Sure a pak loss, followed by media meltdown would have been fun to watch however they were cruising when the match was called off. They rightly won.

Tbf, the way NZ was bowling and Fakhar batting, Pakistan could have chased 400 in 40 overs

That guy owns these guys. In this year alone Fakhar scored 3 back to back 100s against them. it is others that he was struggling against and eventually got dropped.
