cricketfan28
historically we know these chases will end up in defeats, so i will say super lucky. Sindragosa and AuxiliA 2 Link to comment
Lord
If India got 200/1 after 25 overs chasing 400, we all would have claimed victory. It was terrific innings from Zaman and he was still going strong. Link to comment
figo6762
Chasing 400 is a tall order .. dls is getting outdated .. even if India was in this position the case should be the same cricspirit 1 Link to comment

If this were simulated in an alternate universe 100 times Pak would lose the game 90 times from that position. Norman, sage and AuxiliA 3 Link to comment

Prabhdeep Singh
Last year's T20 South Africa lost to Netherlands, some how Pakistan reached final. This year also. Great innings by 1 man but do they really deserve to be in semi final. After conceding 400 they get rewarded with rain shortened match. Luck works in mysterious ways. I cannot remember last time India having this sort of luck. In 50 over world cups India has lost only 4 games since 2011, Pakistan have already lost 4 in this tournament so far. Pakistan has so many flaws yet are in contention for a semi final place. Link to comment

Number
Funniest thing was NZ had a brief window of 4 overs to pull things back DLS-wise, when Pakistan innings restarted, but they bowled 2 overs to Sodhi out of those 4 overs and he managed to go for 32 runs in those 2 overs. If not Pakistan could fall behind the DLS. Big tactical mistake. sage, AuxiliA, vivek04 and 1 other 3 1 Link to comment

He should have gone with seamers and asked them to bombard with bouncers. Number 1 Link to comment
jf1gp_1
they were 200/1 in 25 overs. Pakistan should be disappointed, they could have bettered their run rate. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
In a rain game you should try to slow things down even at the risk of using all your main bowlers upfront. Link to comment

NameGoesHere
Way I see it, cricket is like life, fair and unfair doesn’t come into it. What matters is did Pakistan deserve to win? After that Fakhar innings, yes they did. Can’t deny them that. For me, that’s case closed. jf1gp_1 1 Link to comment
dilliboy
Tbf, the way NZ was bowling and Fakhar batting, Pakistan could have chased 400 in 40 overs Link to comment

Sure a pak loss, followed by media meltdown would have been fun to watch however they were cruising when the match was called off. They rightly won. NameGoesHere 1 Link to comment

In this year alone Fakhar scored 3 back to back 100s against them. it is others that he was struggling against and eventually got dropped. Iconoclast 1 Link to comment
