Their loss to India was extremely embarassing. (55 AO).  Not so much while losing to BD and Afghans.  So, yeah.  Understandable as to why they are so butt hurt.

But SA who qualified for semis also lost badly to India, 83 all out.

So him talking is all to get attention to himself. Biggest idiot.

Mahela is one of deep thinkers of the game and it would be best interest of SL cricket to keep that guy in loop if they want to become relevant again.

They make it sound like they were of the late 90's australia team or even the team that had their own legendary players like Sanga and co. This team will have a hard time beating the likes of associates and they had to play the qualifiers for a reason.

should not have qualified in qualifiers. would have been nicer to see Ire, WI, etc

So true, I particularly find it very ironic and amusing from the Pakistanis. They would support and hype their team to beat India, and the moment they lose they will be like the match was fixed, ICC=BCCI...yada yada...

Like now you were supporting your team, and now you are accusing your own players of being fixers, and back to supporting them in the next match, but aren't these guys fixers as per your logic :hysterical:

in their minds complaining again and again makes something truth. Repeating lies makes truth.

in their minds losing due to fixing means they can only be beaten if their players wanted to lose for money. And it’s ok boys will be naughty they will be immoral to make money.. immoral to have a sexcapade as boys will be boys.

basically low iq low morals people.

As expected, SL are likely to finsh among the 2 bottom ranked teams in this WC and Ind are currently at the top.  It's ridiculous that a politician from a bottom ranked minnow country has the audacity to think of the match being required to be 'fixed' in order to outplay his team.  Just imagine a politician from Ned alleging match fixing by Ned captain after they lost to Aus by 300 runs.  :phehe:

So true.

Why support the Cheaters the very next game after you just accused them of throwing the match.

Lol many in South Asia would rather believe that their cricketers are cheats and sellouts than give credit to neighbours.

I don't & tbf  many on this forum won't either! We'd roast the likes of BRat, Dhongi, Pot belly, Drunken master, Behaal etc. Instead of accusing them of being sellouts, but yes Pak/BD/SL can carry on with their Nizams :cantstop:

Cricket World Cup: Jay Shah is running Sri Lanka Cricket, says Arjuna Ranatunga

Cricket World Cup: Jay Shah is running Sri Lanka Cricket, says Arjuna Ranatunga

Former Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga has slammed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah for ruining the Sri Lankan cricket, following their debacle in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

"Because of the connection between SLC officials and Jay Shah they (the BCCI) are under the impression that they can trample and control SLC," Arjuna Ranatunga was quoted by Sri Lankan newspaper Daily Mirror.

"Jay Shah is running Sri Lanka Cricket. SLC is being ruined because of pressure from Jay Shah. One man in India is ruining Sri Lankan cricket," said Sri Lanka's 1996 World Cup winning captain.

"He is only powerful because of his father, who is India's home Minister."

In the past one week, Sri Lankan cricket a lot has happened in Sri Lankan cricket, both on and off the field.

Sri Lanka finished ninth on the points table, meaning they do not qualify for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Sri Lanka's sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe had sacked the SLC board and installed an interim committee headed by Arjuna Ranatunga, but Sri Lanka's courts essentially reinstated the board a day later by issuing a 14-day stay order on the gazette that dissolved the board.

A couple of days later, the cricket board has been suspended by the ICC with immediate effect because of extensive government interference in the board's administration.

Looks like Ranatunga has lost weight! Seasoned politician that he is, he has made these bizarre allegations to distract from a hundred other things wrong with his country.
