What is KL Rahul's legacy at international and IPL level?

This thread is meant to bash Rahul from head to toe. So, go ahead and pull all your frustrations out there because this was the first tournament where it looked like KL Rahul has found a new lifeline at no.5 and is absorbing pressure better than he ever did. But then he plays a knock like the one in final and all the good work done before washes away.

He will probably go down as one of the worst investment ever and we won't be learning even now.

This guy is probably the worst cricketer to have in pressure situations.. numerous world cups, crunch ipl games nothing to show. Add his fetish for orange cap and his career is a thesis on how not to play the game. Pity that Indian TM / franchises could never mould a superb 360  batter into a world beater

Rahane for all the deserved abuse he gets averages 38.46 in test cricket in 85 matches.

The peerless KL averages 34.08 in 50 matches.

Go figure.......

TBH Rahane is the biggest disappointment in test cricket for India. He had such a good start to his test career. Averaged close to 50 till 2016, playing mostly in SENA and on rank turners in India. But after 2017 he averaged less than 30, which is criminal for a middle order batsman. Atleast KL was an opener.

There is always some excuse for the peerless KL.

Rahane since 1 Jan 2017 has averaged 33.39 (very bad)

The peerless KL since 1 Jan 2017 has averaged 31.81 ........ go figure.

Lol I am not defending KL here at all.

Just pointing out that Rahane has been a bigger disappointment in tests, which is not talked about enough. Between 2014-16 Rahane was our best test batsman and then he suddenly fell off a cliff.

One of school buddy named his son, Rahul, after Rahul Dravid! You can imagine, if he visits ICF, he will rename his son.

Rahul Dravid used to be my favourite cricketer as a kid, by far. I cared more about Dravid scoring than India winning lol.
