Majestic
This thread is meant to bash Rahul from head to toe. So, go ahead and pull all your frustrations out there because this was the first tournament where it looked like KL Rahul has found a new lifeline at no.5 and is absorbing pressure better than he ever did. But then he plays a knock like the one in final and all the good work done before washes away. He will probably go down as one of the worst investment ever and we won't be learning even now. Serpico
Even kids will say orange cap as soon as rahul is mentioned. That will be his legacy People who follow test cricket might remember his centuries in south africa and england Link to comment
vvvslaxman
You can draw a parallel with IPl. Even in IPL in crucial games he bats like this. Ultimate_Game and Number 2 Link to comment
Vk1
This guy is probably the worst cricketer to have in pressure situations.. numerous world cups, crunch ipl games nothing to show. Add his fetish for orange cap and his career is a thesis on how not to play the game. Pity that Indian TM / franchises could never mould a superb 360 batter into a world beater express bowling 1 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Has he ever won an ICC tournament? I have to KL Rahul's under-19 batch is the worst ever for India. Worse than the 2024 batch. Didn't do anything there. First over duck i think against Pakistan. Link to comment

AKane
Rahane for all the deserved abuse he gets averages 38.46 in test cricket in 85 matches. The peerless KL averages 34.08 in 50 matches. Go figure....... express bowling 1 Link to comment

Averaged close to 50 till 2016, playing mostly in SENA and on rank turners in India. But after 2017 he averaged less than 30, which is criminal for a middle order batsman. Atleast KL was an opener. coffee_rules
Looks like Rahul is most discussed in ICF. KL here and RaGa in Chit-chat section Link to comment

There is always some excuse for the peerless KL. Rahane since 1 Jan 2017 has averaged 33.39 (very bad) The peerless KL since 1 Jan 2017 has averaged 31.81 ........ go figure. Link to comment

Just pointing out that Rahane has been a bigger disappointment in tests, which is not talked about enough. Between 2014-16 Rahane was our best test batsman and then he suddenly fell off a cliff. express bowling 1 Link to comment
