If alternate is Mohd Siraj, give me these trundlers like Avesh, Arshdeep, Mukesh any day. After his honeymoon start what has Siraj done against non-SC opponents, that too among SC he has done well only against SL. He will continue to suck and suck but will play every single game. Zero with the bat, zero as a fielder, halwa brainless bowler who wilts under slightest hint of pressure, but attitude like a hyperexcited monkey. He is an equivalent of Chahal, only worse behaviour.

Another laughable thing is SKY as captain. He is a permanent failure, will win us nothing in his life, has failed in all KOs and must win games, but gets rewarded. 33 yo journeyman who wouldn't make a zonal side, but here being rewarded with test cap, ODI captaincy and what not? Part of the clique I guess, after the exit of Chahal these seniors needed another dressing room jester and aay gaya yeh chwtiya.

Buddy, in this format, at least 2 out of those first 3 names will do better than Siraj and Axar>Jadeja. There is too much propaganda about some players on this forum, SKY was one such guy who was made into ABDV over here but we all keep seeing his aukaat.

Huge LOL at anybody who had the audacity to see Sky as ABDV. The latter was so talented that could have played professionally in a range of sports.

 

Sky is a journeyman late developer but already looks past it. Little point in persisting with him anymore.

Most of them have left. The T20 side is almost entirely different, same as India. Even though timing of this series is poor, at least the sides have some new, young talent. It's at least better than watching the same team members over and again.

Doesn't matter whom we pick, we will still end up losing T20 WC. There is simply no hope.

Think the batting has some potential but not too confident about the bowling. But Bumrah, Hardik could be back. It will be interesting to see if Arshdeep improved his bowling, he bowled some good spells before.

My only 3 wishes from this series - 

1. Mookesh & Aavessh play minimum 4 matches and are  hammmmmered .....   left, right, center so that selectors

   are left with no choice but forget them forever for short format . 

2. The young turks - Tilak , Jaiswal , Ruturaj , Bishnoi &  Rinku  come good so that transition becomes quicker . At least 2 batters & 1 bowler should make a mark among these.

3. Selection of Shivam Dubey as all rounder is beyond logic - He is a fraud allrounder , cannot even bowl 2 decent overs at international level. Absolute stupid selection that you are placing hope on 30+ guy with no bowling skills as an all rounder . This experiment should end forever in this series.

 

One casualty could be Prasidh as he is not a T20 bowler yet . May dent his confidence playing this useless series. He should be considered for  Test & ODI. Wrong format selection.

Still has not got back the control and giving so many freebies even in SMAT.  Since he had shown the skills required for T20 at international level initially not going hard at him right now, but time is running out  for him.

True, he was looking pale shadow of his previous self in SMAT.
