He is bounced out in the “nets”.

After his terrible show bowling - he practices batting in the nets and rests his shoulder with ice after the hit in nets instead of practicing bowling...... Keep it up! Bowl more bouncers down the leg side.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Thakur bowl in the first test.

He has always been a bit on the expensive side but this performance was down in the gutters compared to when he registered the best-ever figures by an Indian bowler against South Africa with 7-61 in the second Test of the 2021/22 tour.

Its not like the Saffers figured out a plan of attack against him. He was just bowling like it was Thakur Sweets & Savories on a 50% discount year end offer.

Shardul is now 33, will be 34 in few months.
2020-21 was long back when he was 28-29 and did heroics in England and Aus. Time has passed, and he has gotten older.
Emphasis has to be to find the pace bowling allrounders, Nitish is a batter first...even Bawa is now batting at no 4/5 and bowling comparatively lesser.
Either find out the new bowling allrounders, or encourage likes of Akashdeep, Yudhvir, Harshit to become better with the bat. It may compromise their bowling, but we need contributions.

Dropped since the 2nd test. Seems like the experiment has ended at 33 years of age.

remmeber the ball he let go and did not attempt to chase to retrieve in the first test.  lol That was the end of his career

Think they just wanted a punt assuming he would bowl better like he did 4 years ago.

Realized better to just develop NKR.

Yes, better to give chances to younger Nitish Reddy than a 34 year old.
