Frustrated
Isn't 6th March of a year supposed to be part of the summer season? If yes, how can bcci be blamed for this? Link to comment

Frustrated
In the 1st week of march 2017, we played a test against Aus at dharmshala. And won it. There were no rains/snow fall. It was all dry and sunny. In fact, this is the best time to play at dharmashala. It's a different story that this year it's raining (unfortunately) Edited February 27 by Frustrated rollingstoned and Lone Wolf 2 Link to comment
rkt.india
There is a possibility of rain. Snow is unlikely in Dharmshala stadium itself. Only on higher reaches. Schedule was fixed long back so can't blame the schedule. Link to comment
G_B_
I am getting night time temp of -5 on my weather app. Link to comment
wanted_desi
Match should have been in Mohali instead of Dharmshala. It has been getting lots of matches that Mohali used to get back in days. Even if there is no snow, outfield is going to be nightmare for fielding side. Link to comment

srgadjon
They should leave a lot of grass on the wicket. With the cold weather and moisture in the air will assist seam and swing also. That way it will challenge the young batsmen like Jaiswal, Gill, Jurel, Sarfaraz and also help seamers and challenge spinners as well. It's a dead rubber anyway and have nothing to lose. But expecting BCCI to have such foresight is a bit too much I guess. Number 1 Link to comment

R!TTER
There's a 30 day forecast available on most sites - https://www.accuweather.com/en/in/ranchi/203541/march-weather/203541?year=2024 Accuracy of course is debatable but you can't do jack about weather 5 days before an event either! Link to comment
Majestic
Nothing to worry, temperature will be between 12-16° during the match days. In night, the temperature might go down to 7-8°. It won't go below that. Link to comment

Frustrated
Not many saw it coming. But we are likely to get full 5 days of play. Have to say this one is among the best wickets in India. Not to mention the picturesque stadium. Forecast looks good for next 5 days. There will be a clear winner and likely a perfect end to a memorable home series.
