Gone for 18 (13).   Survived once as there was a dropped catch.   On the positive side, he looks fit.  (To me).

Runs are less important in this comeback match.

What matters is that he looked fit and retains his positive spirit while batting.

I am so happy.

And he has batted and ran sufficiently freely.

Welcome.back !!

Just hope bro the selectors don't push for T20 WC, let him take slow.

He was our biggest matchwinner in Tests, selectors should prioritise that for him playing T20Is and ODI's sporadically.

Jaiswal, Pant & Jurel in Tests is going to be a formidable batting lineup.

His "Oyyyyy" every time a good ball was bowled was music to my ears.

He is definitely fitter than before the injury. It may have been a wake-up call for him to focus on his fitness and use his rehab to improve in this area!

And that stumping of Jitesh was superb timing by him. He just hesitated that split second and when Jitesh lost his balance and had both feet out, he got the bails off!

Perfect result. Pant shined. DC lost. Ponting cried.

yeah i dont care about these t20s for him, this format was never has never suited him.In Tests he can pick and choose the ball he wants to hit and that makes a huge difference.Pant vs Jurel competition will be huge for us.

Both should play.

Let Jurel keep as it is better not to tax Pant too much this year.

Pant is good enough to play as a specialist batsman especially in tests.

Not just good. He is the best batsman in the world period. When fully fit. In tests also I think he will do just fine in odi
