I expected a bad squad and got it.

 

Additionally, Chahal has been picked to make it worse. 

 

I expected almost all the performing youngsters to be ignored. Happened. 

 

But did not expect Rinku to be totally ignored. This is pathetic.

 

And slow-starter Gill in the reserves but plundering Abhishek Sharma nowhere in the picture. 

 

■  Hardik .. out of form and probably lost some ability

 

■  Jadeja .. never a T20 player and chokes in WCs.

 

■  Kohli .. not in hitting form and does not have the power game needed in modern T20Is of the last 2 or 3 years.

 

■  Rohit .. Not high SR batter compared to modern T20 openers.

 

■  Jaiswal .. out of form

 

■  Siraj .. not a T20 bowler and not in form 

 

■  Chahal .. Seriously  !!

 

■  Axar .. not that good

 

6 of these 8 are likely yo be in the first 11

 

 

 

■  7 players are ok .. Bumrah, Arshdeep, Kuldeep, Pant, Samson,, SKY, Dube.

 

2 of these 7 are likely to be on the bench.

 

Mayank Yadav could have been in the reserves atleast in place of Khaleel.

Exactly. They carried Harshal and Chahal last time. Both did not play a single match.  Waste of resource. They could have carried Rinku in place of Chahal. Why do they need 4 spinners there.

I was guessing what they would do,not what they ought to do.

 

India has two spin all-rounders in axar and jadeja but they don't have hitting power.

 

Also batting spin all rounders will take their bowling seriously if we don't pick genuine spinners in domestic cricket,if they pick a couple of genuine spinners then there is no need for spin all-rounders.

2. M.O. bat like Pandya who take 10 balls to start hitting

3. Jadeja in the slot where big hitter needed. 

4. Bowlers can't bat and batsmen can't bowl. 

5. Chahal Rohit Bumrah Arshdeep - 4 liability fielders.

Would have made this squad much better while keeping Sooperstars Kohli, Rohit and Hardik in the team as they are seemingly undroppable.

Coaching staff of other teams must be laughing as its more or less same team for last three tournaments hence no need for new analysis or homework.

They can simply dust off previous strategies and will be good to go.
