putrevus Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 (edited) Kohli will be able to play odis with ease in 2027 . He can play Odis in his sleep and still be effective. Gavaskar cannot play cover drives and be effective where as Kohli can still score lot of runs at very decent rate even in 2027.

We needed some one like axar to step up, an other contribution which was missing from SKY/GILL/SHREYAS AYYAR/JADEJA. What's being overlooked is, hardiks loss for final was crucial blow. Rishab pant missing too did not help. Rishab would have played instead of KL Rahul, Hardik would have played in Suryas place. The pitch doctoring by dravid too did not help. Kron and Ultimate_Game 2

Bumrah is our premier fast bowler. he will/he should play. Rohit may retire next year. Kohli has match fitness, temperament and skillset to play 2027 World Cup. It's not about youngsters/age. it all boils down to big match temperament, I think Kohli is the biggest clutch player india ever produced surpassing dhoni/gambhir too. (Across formats)
