Tomorrow :phehe: who cares about the medals...let's beat the mighty Lankans properly this time :--D

Bilaterals becoming boring, need tri series or quadrangular more. Especially after a wc.

Yes if the fight doesn’t happen. He goes to semis. All semi finalists are guaranteed bronze in Olympics

Yeah, Mary Kom lost her semis and still won Bronze in 2012z  Boxing and few other sports allow two bronze medals to both semi final losers instead of making them compete for Bronze Medal.

@Gollum Viren rasquinha has been good administrator, hope that govt. keeps him at important positions ...a sportsman himself, a long term strategic thinker, has eye for talents and a good administrator.

As @Numbersaid , the archery team was a manhoosiat for the entire team and their mediocrity n losses kept coming day after day. Sorry to be harsh here but things need to change.

Does the momentum transfer across sports?  It has never happened in 2004 when RS Rathore won silver in Athens 2004 or A Bhindra won Gold in 2008.

Interesting that Jamaican Fraser-Pryse opted of women's 100m event. Clayton, only Jamaican to make it to the finals though looks good

This event has been totally dominated by the Jamaicans since Beijing.

“El” is the word used for “The” usually.

El and La both but I am not going to go deep into it

El Niño means The  boy, El is The there.

La Nina means The  girl. La is The there. Both referring to climatic phenomena

I don't follow olympics but is this is one of our poor performances in recent times? Just 3 bronzes so far.

We won a gold and couple of silver's last time if I remember accurately.

We did worse in Rio 2016 with just 2 medals after our best till then 6 in London 2012. Our all-time best is 2020 Tokyo with 7 medals. We can still win a gold……….

India’s Olympic performance is kind of like Modi govt- stated with a lot of promise like Rio, peaked at Japan and now hit a decline/ stagnation mode in Paris

This is better than Rio. Rio was a disaster

Rio was one of the worst olympics around.

Wrestlers and two prominent medal winners from tokyo are yet to come.

Compared to tokyo at this stage we are ahead. Shooting was 0 past two editions but is 3 this edition.

ideally it should have no correlation but it does have I guess. esp. from track n field. I think Neeraj ka gold lifted the entire nation's spirit. Too bad it was at the end of Tokyo games.

More athletes will start to play more freely and confidently.
