Hope hockey federation becomes like BCCI and show these a-holes their aukaat and bring back grass fields instead of astro turf.

For that Indian fans need to stop following cricket and watch hockey outside Olympics. That will be hard.

Amit elor looks like a tank

Very tragic life, read about her.

Her earlier coach also coached some Dagestani big names, she is GOAT material though very young now.

So does nisha. Pity she got hurt. But Korean girl caused that injury. It is what it is. She did well. Deserved win for Korean.

Korean girl didn't cause injury, injuries happen in every single bout, part of the sport.

Why do you think they were singlets? Cos if they wear normal shorts or with pockets, loose clothes, fingers will be dismembered.

Why don’t we ever get lucky like this like some guy/chick getting injured in the medal round :(( no qudrat ka nizam for us ever: this is what Indian sports should become like BCCI and script the fk out of everything. All eyes on Nita bhabhi :pray2:

They were following Hockey on par or more than cricket till mid 1980s.But then Hockey went down the drain.

This torture is worse than Rio 2016.

not really, yes we have missed out on medals, but atleast their is growth in other sports.

We don't even used to expect any medals, now we are being disappointed from missing the medals.

So can't say everything is lost, there is progress, there is hope, but still a long way to go.

Saina nehwal bronze.  Opponent was winning. Slipped. She won bronze.

Need to give them Anxiety pills. Xanax or something before the game. May be some psychologists can help. Have a mental health coaching team travelling with the contingent, players can talk to them.

This 'well done beta', participation certificate nonsense must end in our fanbase, and even society. Demand excellence, and accountability. Force the athletes to develop killer instinct, ruthlessness, pain threshold, mental toughness from a young age.

Otherwise even in 2060 we will be groveling for a few bronze medals. Our attitude needs to change.

Problem is india is the only pwoer house in Asia for hockey. That's why we are outnumbered.

@Gollum

If we has 2 nations or 3 that are strong in Asia then we can be more influential in decision making.

In cricket back then we had Pakistan Lanka etc all winning stuff.

Yes we are cornered. Asian block in cricket was a force, here it is 1 against 8.

Don't think so. The best we will ever get is 20 medals.

Sports having multiple events don't suit us. Even if we produce one star per season in Swimming, Gymnastics, Athletics, and Lifting events, majority of the medals will be won by teams from the big teams. Their guys are built for it.
