Better to stop following olympics altogether.  Every moment there is a new heart break for ind fans.   We won 3 medals in first 6 days.  Since then, everything that could hv gone wrong has gone wrong.

First red card I have seen in tournament hockey KO.

Today's incident.

Are rules implemented this harshly against Americans, Germans, Chinese?

Kuch bho bolo, country's clout matters more than one's ability.

Then get that clout?

What's stopping jndia. China is doing it. Where is their big fat mouth? Why? Cause they don't care. They probably get paid off for all we know.

They hold petty grudges like in the Bhutan piece of **** case.

This Vohra is an expert on wrestling now? How does he know that weighing is not required if you withdraw due to injury? They are not stupid.

Pretty sure they have ways for all possible loopholes that can be exploited. Weigh ins are so common in combat sports, they will be aware of all the tricks athletes can pull off.

Wait wait wait, weren't you guys crying about the slightest of grey areas in hockey and other sports saying things are fixed.

Now we should just move on?

A few grams of weight is the easiest to fake on a scale and much much easier than anything you claimed in hockey. The wrestler and her team would have 100% taken her weight before coming for the weighing in.

A lot  of people are exposing their true mentality her finally. So much for patriotism eh?

Eh? I was one of the few who felt the Hockey red card was fair. Stop imagining stuff

Even a few grams overweight is still overweight. There is no grey area in this.

Correct . This is squarely on phogat and her team of nutritionists and coaches who failed her.

Weight cuts even at high school wrestling level (USA) are brutal. You have 10-11 year old kids wearing trash bags and running whole night, sauna baths for 4-5 hours, not even drinking water (forget solid food which just holds on to water)....dehydration promax.

Then immediately after weigh in they consume all the food, water to regain strength. Not uncommon for wrestlers to be 2-3 kilos above cutoff in weight by the time their bout comes.

Wrestlers are insanely conditioned and only way they can lose weight at such short notice is by losing water weight. Most diuretics are banned in competition, so they have to resort to such extreme measures.

He tweets whatever gives him interactions and money from the blue tick.

Here is the clarification. But if were Vinesh, I would have broken my arm if that was what was needed… may be it’s easy to say…

Her opponent in the final Sarah Hildebrandt used to wrestle at 55 kg, then 53 kg, now 50. Common because they want to maximize their strength/build advantage. Make cutoff in the morning and then fight at 2-3 kgs above cutoff, take measures to bring it back under cutoff whole night before next morning's weigh in.

Vinesh has always had her own team, different from rest of our contingent. Big * up by her coaches and support staff. They should have been monitoring her weight whole day yesterday to ensure she could lose the extra kgs overnight, keep it to a manageable level. They must be used to doing this in every competition. Why a * up in the Olympics? Maybe the excitement after beating the Jap, maybe they weren't expecting to be in gold/silver match? Investigation needed.

Multiple weigh-ins are a problem tbh. If the evnt was done in a day she should have been good

Dont think it happens in UFC/Boxing where the cutting is insane and fighters let loose after they are weighed. I remember Pacquiao eating a bar of chocoate after his weigh-in against Mayweither, some UFC guys gain upto 5 kilos by the time they are actually fighting.

Yeah, wrestling weight cuts are most brutal. Usually happen over 2 days.
