Bat avg 36

Bowl avg 24

290+ wickets

3000+ runs

You want him to continue playing in test matches?

His time is up. Time for Washington Sundar or Axar Patel.

Much improved cricketer, a very effective cricketer, but a long way off from being an ATG.

You are an ATG if either stats speak for you, or you will games for your team continuously. Think Rishabh Pant. Small career yet sort of indispensable. That's the kind of man you want.

Any way, sign me up if he reaches a double of 6000 runs and 600 wickets.

Score more runs, take more wkts, and help us win WTC

If WTC F were held even in Dhaka or Colombo, Jadeja/Ashwin would have given a MOTM performance. Criminal to host every final in England. Even in WCs they stopped at 3, but in WTC final it seems they'll host every single final till the competition exists.

Jadeja has 10 MOTMs in 72 tests (similar to Malcolm Marshall who had 10 in 81), and his whole career he has had to compete with Ashwin, Shami, Bumrah etc for the award

Here are numbers of ATGs

McGrath, 11 in 124 tests

Sachin, 14 in 200

Lara, 12 in 131

Viv, 10 in 121

Steyn, 9 in 93

Cook, 9 in 161

Sehwag, 8 in 104

Anderson, 8 in 188

Greg Chappell, 7 in 87

Gilchrist, 7 in 96

Clive Lloyd, 5 in 110

ABDV, 5 in 114

Gavaskar, 5 in 125

Lyon, 5 in 129

And many more big names. Jadeja is in a very elite category, alongside Marshall, Hadlee, Kallis, Murali, Akram, Warne, Steve Smith, Donald, Rabada, Head etc. when it comes to SR.

What's this fascination of giving ATG to every other player in Indian Team ?

Why do they need to chase meaningless milestones to ensure they counted as ATG.

Few weeks back there was discussion about whether Bumrah is an ATG coz he has less than 300 wickets in Tests..why does it matter ? What if Bumrah looses form or get injured, will that be used to demean the wins he has given in these 36 odd Tests ?
