Can we end the Sanju Samson experiment?

Simply not international material. He's suited to IPL and maybe his fans and Shashi Tharoor can watch him there instead of stinking it up in intls.

 

He's a mental midget and even worse than KL Rahul in that respect. With likes of Abhishek waiting in the wings I think it's time we move on from him. He has been given enough chances now and this should be it.

Sanju has ended it himself. Also not an experiment. He earned his stripes now screwed it up too. However his last innings was a 100 in SA in tough conditions so will get 1 more run I feel.

May be give him a run on ODI, but considering the our ODI talent pool I don't see that happening. His only chance was to have a decent run in T20 SL series + that ODI 100 against SA to push the selectors to give him a look, but that looks not possible.

That was ODIs. I still want him there instead of say Iyer. But not good enough for T20Is

Yes you need to take pretty much every chance early on when competition is fierce.

 

But still rate him for ODIs. Basic tools are there to succeed in next WC

He is good but again nowhere near Pant, KL or Jurel so he won't get much chances in the future too.

 

If he was playing for any other Asian country his career could have turned out better.

Iyer is much better than Samson. Also I would rather we give Rinku and Parag a chance in ODIs. At least they can bowl. This one-dimensional Samson is gonna go for a single digit score and done for the day. With Rinku and Parag you get a few overs if needed.

 I would definitely go with  Rinku in ODI  instead of this fellow . Parag is almost a fix in the team  for me.
