vishalvirsingh Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Let's understand and compare the HORSES of Duleep trophy. i think these 3 guys are beating all the other pacers clearly in Duleep trophy. kindly rate who would be your first choice and second /third among the three. AKASHDEEP- he is a finished product with perfect line n length and I am sure he will get into 140 to 145K pace in Australia. he would be my first choice. Saini- seems to be coming back in full form and he may be a better option than harshit though I could be wrong. I will like if I see him in Australia along with BOOM/Siraj/SHammi( he definitely will recover by that time) Harshit seems very talented but does not seem to have that control over his line n length , not saying that Saini has great control over line n length but still saini has bowled a lot of Jaffa's in this Match AKASH>Saini>Harshit - that's my sequence. Wonder if he gets a match in the home season as a trial for BGT squad express bowling 1
cowboysfan Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Hmm.i wouldnt say impressive but i would pick Akashdeep for the Bang bro tests.Harshit needs more work, his batting looks bad and he needs to lose weight because he loses steam after bowling 4 overs. Manucrick and putrevus 2

Even likes of Varun C and Venky Iyer could've been played, especially Venky. If Dube can be played as an "all-rounder", Venky should also be given a go. He can't really do any worse. Adamant Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Akashdeep bowled well in the series vs Eng, he looked better than all of their pacers. Bumrah, Siraj, Shami, Akashdeep looks like a solid bowling lineup, hoping that Shami comes back from injury without much drop in pace and zip. Manucrick, Jaydev_Unadkat, singhvivek141 and 1 other 1 3
Adamant Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Can Saini still make a comeback to international cricket? He was always fast but lacked the brains and was wayward, if he has worked on his lines he seems good for. Short test career. vishalvirsingh and Manucrick 2

How on earth is Zaleel still in the conversation ? Has the Sri Lankan tour not given us a good idea on how garbage he is? Number, putrevus and singhvivek141 1 2

I am personally not in favour of handing chances to 30+ pacers, unless we severely lack the bowling resources. We have already wasted enough chances with Avesh, Mukesh. Cant afford to spend more games, when Shami can retire in an year of two. express bowling 1

Nikhil_cric Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Saini is not an option . He will be 32 and he still can't hit length often enough. Rana and Akashdeep are the only bowlers who should even be considered based on the evidence so far. tweaker 1
vvvslaxman Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Saini/Nattu/Sundar.. what an odd combo to pull off a magical win.
