Sarfaraz, Musheer, Ayush Mhatre, Raghuvanshi should be the core of their batting along with Jaiswal when he's available to play domestic. 

Iyer has actually played well this season for Mumbai, but the shots he played to get out to J&K were ridiculously bad.

Andre Siddharth has had a great start to his career and is only 18 years old. He has a long way to go before being considered for the Indian team but the talent is there. Hope he makes it to the national team. Also he would be hoping to have better luck than his uncle S Sharath who was a stalwart for TN scoring 8700 runs at 51 in his Ranji career but never played for India while we handed out National caps to Kanitkar, Shiv Sundar Das, Rohan Gavaskar, Deep "Goal keeper" Das Gupta etc.

Don't like Gavaskar's antics inside comm box but oldman does care alot about domestics,not many exs have cared about even icc finals

Think I still like the older Ranji Trophy format where the the big teams were grouped into 2 and a comparetively weaker group C in the Elite division. All matches were tough, best way to have competitiveness without reducing # of teams

 

Yeah it needed tweaking wrt teams from the weaker group getting KO spot(Could have just made KO spots for the main groups and add just promotion/relegation spots) 

 

This current groups of 4 sneaks in some poor teams in regular Ranji season, also they play one fewer game.

This was chosen because some weaker teams get stuck in weaker group for many years and never get promoted.  If they don't play stronger teams, there is no chance to improve. J&K beating Mumbai is the highlight of this season. Mumbai has Rohit, Jaiswal, Rahane, Iyer , Dube ans Thakur, all internationals. Maza aa gaya,
