Fair point, they are similar but not the same. Always the outcome won’t be the same.

Samson has 3 100’s in SA (1 in ODI, 2 in T20). Rohit also has a good backfoot game but can’t resist the pull shot on occasions, especially in Australia he has got home self out rather than the bowler doing anything special.

The SA pitches are very ackward to bat on so scoring there in any format is a good indicator.

I dont want to see Gill in t20s.   But the way Samson has been playing, he could be replaced by Gill/Gaikwad.

Jaiswal and Abhishek as openers and probably Pant at 3. Or Jitesh at 6 or 7. These're the two options we have for wkt keeping options in T20. Pant can't bat lower down the order as he can't bat get going from ball one. If you need such a player Jitesh is the best option. Don't want to see KL Rahul in T20s again. Nor do I want to see Gill or Ruturaj to suck momentum from the innings.

why does he play every short ball square on the leg side where the only fielder is waiting? dude is not a bright player,if you open in T20s you need to know where the boundary fielders are.

Ind needs to look else-where for wk-batter, No going back to pant, kl, kishan, jitesh all are not t20i batters or can not bat against decent bowling unit.

Sanju is a terrible keeper, missed so may sitters last time in SL. That's my main complaint about him. Keeping in this format should be easiest, you'll barely be in action for 10-20 balls per innings, unlike the rigours of test cricket.

His batting failed, but that's not a big problem. His keeping is the bigger problem.
