Schedule tests in B'luru in Jan-March. Not Aug-Dec because it gets affected by both SW and NE monsoon.

 

2015 we couldn't clean sweep RSA because of Bengaluru rain, again October or November. 

and we have a low  pressure system in BOB,double whammy.BCCI are really dumbos,all they need to do is look at rainfall patterns and not schedule  matches  when the monsoons is at the peak in those cities.

Forecast showing moderate to heavy rain for next 5 days.   (Not sure how accurate is the forecast)

Just that being a fast bowler in his early 30's. Bumrah's availability may not be 100% in all Tests, so whoever becomes his deputy will get a chance to captain the team quite frequently.

Pant would not be a good choice as captain. He is a free thinking maverick who operates in his own zone. In the last press conference after the test, Rohit even said we just leave him to his own plans because whenever we have tried to tell him to play in a certain way, he listens and then goes and does his own thing anyway. He is a great individual talent who can easily be ruined by captaincy especially in India's hyper media environment.

What is the logic behind adding Sundar to the squad when they already have 4 spinners, three of them allrounders. Let him play Ranji trophy and develop his batting. Lack of first class cricket has hurt his batting development.

RGS probably wants to drop Ashwin. I don't see him bringing Axar for KY so that's the logical choice.

 

If the pitch turns real square then yes I also expect just one pacer!

They are not going drop player of the last series. Maybe he'll replace kl as batsman if Gill is not match fit by Thursday

Perhaps they want a batsman in Pujara mould. Sundar kinda fits the bill as he doesnt throw his wicket atleast

Why not Eashwaran,Sudarshan,Gaekwad,Paddikal,who played a test against England

He isn't going to replace a specific batter, he could replace Ashwin or Siraj, I expect Gill to come in for KL.
