Kaur did just fine, she atleast out up fight. What else she can do. If people expect miracles from her when having players like Mandhana and co that is not her fault.

Rohit took all of the onus on himself thats good on his part..but i believe its whole TM's call..

what was Gambhir and co doing there..unless Rohit didnt listen to them..

and I am saying that as a normal person..who was hoping NZ doesnt win the toss and asks India to bat..

it was simple..win the toss and ask opposition to bat..

I am fine with this blunder but blunder of odi wcup..be it misreading or chedchaad with pitch(??)..was very costly..

In any case you cant bundle out for <50..if you do then pitch is obviously very spicy..and you also need to pick some good number of wkts of opposition..

or they totally ran out of luck as a unit?? why does it happen against only NZ..

No one is asking to defend that score, but they can atleast put up a fight.

Lower order runs scored are runs which count for Indian team only, they are not scoring for other team

Who said they are? Do batsmen bowl similarly?

Just because we got out for 40 doesnt mean opposition will too. It was easily 250-300 wicket if they negotiated first session. But they were in a hurry

SA defended 212 and 270 in 2018. Our genius bowlers could not pick up few wickets when they were defending same type of scores in 4th innings in SA in 2021 and promptly lost the series there and against lost the series in England.

SA got bowled out for 96 in first innings but they turned around and bowled Aussies out for 47 in their second innings.

When did SA defend low score in India? Why is India expected do same in SA?

India has also bowled out teams cheaply in their own turf. In Lords 2021 same bowlers got Eng out cheaply in 60 overs only.

Ok Let them bowl out for 250.They have already scored 180/3.We will revisit their greatness.

Why are you calling the greatest fast bowler in all formats.India great fast bowling attack then between 2018-2021 is utterly false then..

There is lot of difference between bowling them out cheaply when there is no pressure and bowling them out cheaply when there is lot of pressure defending small score.

we are still abysmally poor in non-traditional factors in cricket..

reading pitch properly ( Associate teams like Nepal better than us? )

playing innovative shots ( zero innovations in recent memory and extremely lazy in adoption after burning hands multiple times )

inventing new deliveries ( slower ball.. slow bouncer... carrom ball.. 3 quarter seam etc - none of it came from us )

taking street smart decisions ( nothing to discuss )

String of sub 100 scores by this team is reaching legendary status now.

36, 46, couple of 70s in England.......Lord's 2018 where we scored 100, 130 while Woakes scored an unbeaten 140.

Why/how is this happening? Even Pak which is worse than us had one 48 all out against peak Steyn, they somehow manage to cross 100 even when at their lowest.

No one to arrest the slide. Everyone just keeps going for shots.

Just saw the headline in the OP. Haven't seen the game, neither do I intend to.

RoSha is well ahead of the pack. At least he admits to making a mistake. Usually our captains end up blaming the weather, the toss, the batsmen, the bowlers, the pitch, the UN, Daffy Duck and just about anyone else.

Some accountability is nice.

If this was being held in SENA, India would be gone because in those conditions India are disadvantaged throughout the match due to conditions and the makeup of the side.

This pitch now resembles a typical Indian wicket and even taking some turn. This Indian side is very strong for those conditions.

Just play normally and think of it as batting 2nd after NZ are batting first and do one of those typical Indian home performances. 180-200 will be difficult to chase in the last innings.

The first innings was favourable conditions, great bowling, great catching and Ind generally being shellshocked. If these conditions were in NZ, Ind would get to 130 etc.

Ind will get them around 250-280.

So he thought it would become flat after firstsession. THen why did he play like idiot and give his wicket away.

He was right though it became flat after India inning…. But this ghonchu should have realised our batting lineup is pathetic against swing bowling not long ago we got 36 ao so why did he took risk.

Now test for Rohit and other batsmen is scoring 500 plus total.

Bowlers failed to deliver in keeping them within reasonable lead as thought they will do.

They cannot be to timid while batting.
