They will invariably pick wickets giving scope for squeezing overs from part timers. Previously batter would not go after a bowler just because of reputation, but now every1 is a fair game. If batters are nt going after a bowler they are losing the team the game. So having flat overs are hard to get by. It was v.much the plan of batting side to playout the overs from an establish bowler, that is the reason 90s bowlers did not see a dip in form after certain age. Now we are seeing it v.often bhuvi is an example, rabada is getting there as soon as they are not top of the game batter are going after them. Bowler have to get smarter like livingstone who can bowl off and leg spin or have to a proper batter like Makram who can bowl in positive match-ups. Problem are those sub 125 kmph allrounder Ind is picking they will never have positive match-up. Dube, V.Iyer they can not have a positive match-up against a proper t20. side. tweaker Posted December 17, 2024 Author Posted December 17, 2024 At just 21 years old, Suryansh Shedge displays remarkable clarity in his thinking. His maturity shines through in the methodical and focused way he approaches cricket. Compared to earlier generations, today's young cricketers, including Shedge, come well-prepared with robust support systems and clear plans for their progression. They possess a sharp understanding of what needs to be done and how to execute it effectively, and Shedge exemplifies this modern, disciplined approach. Shedge may have only made his first-class and T20 debut this year, but he has already accomplished enough to make cricket enthusiasts sit up and take notice. In nine first-class innings, Shedge has scored 343 runs at an impressive average of 49, including three half-centuries, with a top score of 99. However, it is his explosive performances in the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy that have truly elevated his profile. His ability to deliver under pressure and contribute significantly with both bat and ball has marked him as a standout talent in the competition. https://m.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/132794/self-belief-key-to-suryansh-shedges-rapid-rise
cowboysfan Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 watched his batting,he has a powerful bottom hand and can just muscle medium pacers over the boundary.hope he get a chance in the IPL.
tapandrun Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Played only 6 FC game with HS of 99 and 0 wkts and played just 9 t20s with HS of 36 and 8 wkts. Not sure why such a hype many other would have same/similar record. Good prospect but he was bowling sub 130 kmph (based on speedometer and bcci highlights) and the bowlers he hit were also mostly sub 130 kmph. The only positive from this smat season was teams are now playing multi-utility players. Still batter lacks power game and still hardly any1 playing those modern t20 shots- ramps, scoops, reverse
iroman Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 (edited) I saw him in SMAT highlights on YouTube. He has the x factor for sure. Tallish. Does put in the energy while bowling. But the pace is sub 130. Similar to Reddy, but with lot more body into the delivery. Maybe his bowling technique improves and the action gets more efficient. I am hoping all these young pace all-rounders get sustained opportunities for their domestic teams. Edited December 17, 2024 by iroman raki05, Vk1 and nevada 2 1

He should just quit his bowling and concentrate on batting alone , this way he has a better chance of making it without being judged on his less performing skill I don't think that is true at all.Guy like Stuart Binny played for India in all formats for one single reason medium pace bowling allrounder.Dube who is another guy who would never sniff Indian team if he was not so called allrounder.Shankar another guy who would never sniff Indian team. Pandya played test cricket based on him being allrounder without having played much FC cricket. Fast bowling allrounder still is the easiest way to get into Indian team. Think they are trying to develop more seam bowling allrounder and that is okay but they need to give him more bowling. Same thing for high pace bowlers.
