Kohli (for his own sake) should fake an injury and skip the entire tour.  Otherwise he would hv to retire with a mediocre/humiliating test avg in the mid 30s.  And would join the list of certified mediocre retirees like Rahane, M Vijay, Kela etc.

Since he was drafted from the A-squad after a couple of good showings there, why not Sai Sudarshan? He seems to have done just as well. Perhaps because DP has already debuted and is "experienced"?

I'd put him at 3 instead of Paddikal and play Jadeja at 7/8

For Travis head you need an off spinner. If they go for 2nd spinner Sundar is an option. But at Optus stadium it makes no sense. This is going to be really tricky when it comes to selection.

Not saying this is a bad team but knowing how our management works .it's doubtful they will drop siraj and Jadeja..and if they play two spinners...Sundar will play ahead of Ashwin.

 

 

Given injuries..my team would be

Siraj

 

Ideally I would play Rana in place of Siraj.
