This fellow is a poster boy sponsored by BCCI. Does not bat does not ball. No intent. His body language is poor. He will not even play for an Australian C grade team with his stats. Averages 35 in 26 tests. He should not be even as a player. 26 tests is a long career. He is another KL Rahul. These fellows together make a horrible lackadaisical team

What the * are you going to do with intent—shove it up your *** huh? This intent BS has *ed us royally ever since Brat took over; I'd argue stlighly before that since Dhongi started using the process excuse. I wouldn't give Pant the captaincy right now because this team is declining; we'll lose a lot more than we probably have in the last 10+ years & that will royally * his batting as well. Give it to someone relatively young but safe candidate; also change the captain after 2-3 years like I said in the other thread

Captain needs to be automatic selection first. Gill is not that player.

Seniors will retire and GILL or KL Rahul can't inspire any confidence.

 

For now there is no better option than Pant no matter his captaincy skills. He still has experience and fight in him.
