Whether or not he will succeed, who knows? He has become more attacking is t20s.He still has lot of holes in his technique, but who has perfect technique these days.If I had to give him advise, I would ask to play aggressive cricket.

Plus, that innings last week should cement it. His selection is, in no way, comparable to selecting SKY for tests. SKY's FC record is just OK.

Yuvraj comes to mind. When ever he played his natural game he scored runs in test cricket but when he tried to play different he failed.SKY failed in odis too so he is a different case. putrevus Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Like I said he has improved his stroke play. He needs to score big 100 here. BacktoCricaddict 1
tweaker Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Paddikal should look to score another big 100 here and cement no 3 spot
vvvslaxman Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Got two lives today. Sometimes things just happen for you. He should capitalize on it. Lord 1
Nikhil_cric Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Selection completely vindicated. Sai Sudarshan selection will also be justified, injuries notwithstanding. Much better than friggin Sarfaraz Khan express bowling and ravishingravi 2
Norman Posted August 23 Posted August 23 There's definitely place for both Padikkal and Sai in the lineup. No reason why we can't play Sai at 5 instead of Jurel .
bsriharsha Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I don't think we can afford a liability like Pant wnymore(in terms of his fitness) , it's only going to go downhill from here.
bsriharsha Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Rate pant as an impact player but at this point , I'd rather have Jurel keep wickets and get another batsman in. Shame though , but the accident probably did him in.

deathmonger Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Jurel, Paddkal, Gill, Jaiswal - Tall, fit batsmen for India
vvvslaxman Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Made use of his form. Also this attack just suited his batting style. All batsmen will be examined in NZ. NZ tracks sometimes get better and better for batting as it goes on. You can statpad there. But top order has to survive first against guys like Henry.

Texan Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Good knocks by Padikkal! Whether he will be good enough in Aus/NZ/SA can only be answered if he plays there. But at least, he seems a better option than Sai Sudharsan who was clearly found out in England even on batting friendly wickets where everyone else was merrily scoring away easy runs.

Paddikal failed in Aus too when he played. But it was a tougher track
gattaca Posted August 24 Posted August 24 (edited) Was that terrible and improved now ? But his feet movement is always a suspect ? Edited August 24 by gattaca
