Bigg Brother
Rubbish player. Was never that talented to begin with. India just wasted 5 years on this egoistical brat who just don't know his off stump is and has literally no game awareness. Imagine any young batter could have got into team and consolidated his position during these years while this epitome of mediocrity has been hogging that position while players of substantial talent and legacy are retring around him. Costed India 2 WTC finals and now main culprit of India not getting into Finals 3rd time. rollingstoned, raki05, Ultimate_Game and 6 others 3 6 Link to comment
Rasgulla
What’s the problem ? He averages 55 in 2023 Link to comment
Vijy
If he plays for a few more years, his avg will regress to the value that it ought to be Link to comment
wanted_desi
Mr. FixItALL. I have a feeling end will be really bad for him. Sydney is last place where i think he can score bit. Otherwise, i doubt he can score any in England with Duke ball and early summer. Forget about India on turning tracks. Ultimate_Game and raki05 1 1 Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
@SachDan fix the title to "The longest ever rope for ANY batter" I don't recall anyone getting such a long rope anywhere. Even "King" Babar was dropped against Eng at home recently and he had much better numbers than Kohli. But we're somehow saddled with this dead weight for eternity. It's truly amazing what Bumrah and our lower order have been able to accomplish with passengers like Kohli and Rohit in the team raki05 and SachDan 1 1 Link to comment

That's the closest I can remember - selectors were pretty non-ruthless with him by Aus standards Link to comment

Vijy
rohit, KL, virat - all have massively underperformed over long periods of time; ironically, brohit's fall is the steepest, but also the shortest (did well till Eng tour in 2023-24) Link to comment

Texan
This has got to be the most ridiculous selection in the history of cricket. A guy who doesn't bother to even work on his weaknesses or even acknowledge them, habitually making the same error and not even trying to improve keeps getting selected for 5 years of non performance because of some advertiser backing.
